What is up with the DLC ?

i have people that dont play any games come over my house to play rock band.

Why ? Because its that much fun. And we all look forward to DLC every week to play new stuff.

But come on ???? What is this stuff you are coming out with.

All we are asking for is some Red Hot Chili Peppers and or Incubus. Instead of that screaming nonsense.

The best DLC so far was the Police and the Oasis.

And we all loved when you made a pack of 5. Do that for Red Hot and a lot of us will be in heaven

I'm so tired of hearing DLC complaints. I haven't bought a song in three weeks because I didn't want any of them but thats my problem. Remember the days when you bought a game and you didn't get squat until the next version came out? Your not entitled to awesome DLC every week, if you don't like it don't buy it! If thats not good enough sell your Rock Band set and don't play any of the songs. Get over it!

i absolutely agree, HMX is the **** for releasing every week.

But imho .. they have to come out with some more mainstream songs for the people that buy this.

We all know every kid out there bought Rock Band and when they see the DLC. They are all like WTF ?

It is a little bit confusing why they dont just put some of the most popular songs out there. It seems like it would please just about anyone. I dont see how somebody could complain about RHCP or Incubus or Foo Fighters etc...

Wouldnt they make way more money that way anyway?

I think they are probably planning some popular rock but it takes a bit of time to develop it all. The stuff that is coming out now was probably planned awhile ago.

I'm not saying that I don't want some popular bands music as dlc but you have to have patience and you can't EXPECT it. They could pull the plug on DLC today and they would owe us nothing. Be glad that they pump out weekly dlc if you like it and if you don't then play the game that you bought and stop sending weekly complaints that Harmonix isn't doing a good job or you didn't get what you wanted or whatever. They want our point of view hence the ultimate setlist forum. I know I can speak for many when I say this isn't the place to lodge your weekly complaints about how you didn't get the DLC you wanted. Give them a break and keep this forum from becoming a bunch of flaming and pointless rants like all other sites end up being.

However, There's a lotta good stuff in the DLC, just cuz it's not your favorite song doesn't mean it sux. I know I've heard a lotta stuff that I haven't before and I like it.

BINGO! A lot of people don't understand that songs requested now can't be put up in a week. It takes time, and many of us have realized that that's the case, and that many of the same bands that are getting DLC are many of the bands that first signed up to the RB wagon. The game is still fairly young, so a lot of people need to realize that it takes time, and it could be that some bands wanted to wait to see the success of the game before signing up, but who knows?

Anyway, I always try to help out the newbies (NOT Noobs; there's a difference) of the RB forum, since they tend to start up these threads without understanding the whole process, and then they get flamed for it.

But if they did just release nothing but popular stuff you would still have complaining from people still. It might be along the lines of "they are just cashing in on popular music and they dont care about what we want."

Although I would too like some RHCP, Incubus, Avenged Sevenfold, and alot more, it doesnt bother me that I don't get what I want every week. People act like Rock Band is about to be dropped as a game. There are many months probably years ahead for everyone to get a little bit of something, so BE PATIENT AND STOP COMPLANING!

Honestly, I feel HMX has done an excellent job. They've please several demographics, and had some surprise bands that I never expected to see (Blink 182 anyone). Therye have been times when I didn't buy for a few weeks at a time (Ramones, Weezer, etc) and times like these last two weeks where I couldn't be happier.



I think there are still people who don't realize that their taste is not the only taste, and need to grow up a little when it comes to things that are out of their direct control.
