View Full Version : 360 wired bundle?!

The bundle pack you can buy for the Xbox 360 saves you a lot of money than if you were to buy all of the peripherals of Rock Band separately. I'm planing on purchasing the bundle as soon as it made available. The only thing I'm worried about is that the bundle comes with a wired guitar for the 360.
I, personally, was looking forward to rocking out without the worries of the cord being pulled because being a real life musician and performer I know first hand how embarrassing and frustrating it can be, for myself, band, and audience, for an instrument to be unplugged.
Seeing as how there IS the availability of a wireless guitar. I think it'd be a great idea to offer a wireless bundle for the Xbox 360 despite any extra ($20-ish max) cost it will inflict. Is anyone else with me on this?

Yes, it would seem very unessicary to have wireless drums.
One instrument that hasn't been adressed here yet is the mic, I would be content with wired even with that... How many solo rock vocalistists do you see with a headset or something. I would prefer being able to swing it around (with the help of duct tape) like Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday. But it also would be just one extra wire to worry about. I don't know! I'd be content with either.
Never-the-less, I still stick to thinking there should be a wirless guitar option for the 360 bundle.

I didn't realize any of this had been confirmed yet, outside of e-retailers going "here's some prices and options lol"

The mic plugs into the 360 controller.

Who....? Wha......?!
You talk about swinging the mic around and the best example you can come up with is some nobody from a crappy band?
How about citing the man who was one of the first (if not THE first) in rock history to do this, Roger Daltrey of The Who.
Sorry, rant over

This is what should happen:
mic plugs in to controller
drums wired plug into one of the front USB ports
guitars are wireless.Period (litterally)

I'd pay more for a wireless guitar bundle!

I Would also pay more for a wireless bundle, when you are already spending ~$200, what is an extra $20-$30. C'mon HMX make it happen!

It's not only up to HMX. I can't believe that people keep posting this despite the fact that it's been discussed to death here. Microsoft also has a say in who can produce wireless accessories, they're very protective of their wireless technology.
We don't know what's going on with the wireless situation right now, and complaining about it doesn't make ANY sense whatsoever, as it won't do anything. Wait until there are some OFFICIAL announcements, not sterile conjecture from posters here or the retailers, who really don't know any more than we do right now.

Sorry,
I may have overreacted a little bit. It seems that most of the threads on these boards anymore are complaints about the fact that the 360 Bundle MAY come with a wired guitar (we don't know anything for sure yet) and other such nonsense. Gone seem to be the days of intelligent discussion on the little bits of information we did have access to (although, in fairness there are still a few of those threads around, i.e. the videos thread).
Anyways, I apologize for over-reacting, I just don't want to see this turn into another "We want wireless or we aren't buying the game!" childish thread

Well,
If I a wireless guitar DOES exist, I would not mind paying extra for a bundle to include it that's my point.
I'm buying the game either way, because I've enjoyed all the titles that HMX has released, the wireless guitar issue won't break the deal for me.
I obviously would prefer a wireless guitar so I can rock harder without have to worry about a wire :)

However, (supposedly) there is also going to be a wireless RB Strat sold seperately from the unconfirmed bundle. So it's not that Microsoft is holding back HMX's ability to produce a wireless guitar controller, it's just that we don't currently know what the contents of the possible bundle(s) will be.
People should stop freaking out, and stop posting the same threads. This is what Xzyliac's n00b guide was stickied for, people. READ IT.

I'd pay more for a wireless guitar bundle!
I'd pay more for fewer threads with questions that are simply answered in the n00b survial guide.

I agree with Gabo. I'd buy that for a dollar.
Wired or wireless 360 guitars doesn't matter to me anyway, I'm getting it for the PS3 :p

Thanks for the xbox...but I'm just saying...the whole "we must control every aspect of the controller thing" is kinda dumb. Just like the overpriced hard drive.
You want me to buy your overpriced media stuff then at least give me a hard drive I can put it on...sheesh!
Okay...sorry MS bashfest over and out.

you, my friend, are a good man. Odd thing is that I saw both TBS and The Who live, oh man, did TBS suck live compared to some 60 year old geezers, haha.
I cant wait to preform WGFA, swing the microphone, jump around with the guitar, and damage many things amoung the house.
