Is there any way or planned to chat to people while playing online. It would add sooo much more to the experiance to talk to your band.

HMX has not made any announcement on whether they intend to patch RB for use with the PS3's chat functions.

However, Sony has announced a firmware update that addresses in-game chat. No specific date has been set other than "Summer".

If there is a way you can turn off the chat, then sure.

I don't want to be forced to listen to some angry person call me names over a video game. It's the reason I hardly play games online competitively anymore.

I nearly didn't vote due to the selections offered and difficulty understanding the OP's op, but I really want chat-ability, so I did.

If it is implemented I hope you'll be able to have it on during band/song selection and switch it off during actual play.
