Mic issues post update (ps3)

Am I the only one whose microphone is making high pitched noises after the new update? I have unplugged, reset and powered down and the same noise is there. It was working fine yesterday and it hasn't been moved so the update is the only cause I can think of. Incidently I never experienced any problems on the songs mentioned in the update announcement.

Can't test, I'm at work. Is it possible that the gain or sensitivity has been upped software-side as part of the patch? It might just require adjusting your sensitivity and/or volume down in-game to stop the feedback.

Do you get the noise when the song loading screen appears or is it during the song. If it's durning the load screen I have been getting that for awhile, but not all the time. Sound I hear, I don't think cause issue with voice pickup.

Along them same lines when you join a band online does you mic keep the setting from the leader of the online band. I can't sing with the words static but sometimes it reverts to static on it's own.

Parodygm- I tried the sensitivity and volume settings and it didn't help. Thanks 4 the idea.

NoD- It is during gameplay and even overrides my voice. Lost a bunch of fans too.

Just tested mine and it works fine. Do you have access to another mic?

Stopped trying 4 a while, now the problem seems to have fixed itself. Very odd but I'm not going 2 question it. Thanks again 4 trying 2 help and feel free 2 add me on psn: celtsfan75

My main issues after the patch are now:

-Slow scroll and freezing effect in all areas where you're picking the song except quickplay

-Talky parts no better and in some places worse except the newer DLC
