Now, before you go yelling at me for the redundancy of the title, that's exactly what they did. They said that they would announce exclusive information on a bunch of big holiday titles next month, including Rock Band.

They also named it the best co-op experience at E3, and gave GHIII the "Rapidly fading spotlight" award

Woohoo! We have confirmation of new info for next month, next month is only a couple days away too! Is it going to be in their next magazine issue?

My Game Informer today had nothing to say on Rock Band, except it was #3 on the Top 50 Games of E3.

Sadly, GH3 was down at #13. HA!

It doesn't really look like anything will be in the October issue (out Sept. 4), at least not anything big enough to be mentioned on the cover.

I knew rock band was gonna be in it........ that would be nice to get some exclusive info.

I figured one of the major sites/mags would be having some sort of story soon.

i'm also excited to read up on silent hill 5, as well as the LOST game (big fan) :)

looks like i'm buying that issue

Not yet, but it doesn't matter.

Word will spread eventually, it probably is the month coming up (october issue)

although it appearing in the november issue would make more sense.

Rock Band has never been mentioned on a cover lol as far as i've seen. I doubt it's a huge announcement, maybe just some new gameplay info.

i wouldn't call GH3 rapidly fading. there's just no media/news on it of late. we'll see what the RB announcement is soon.

Well I guess we have at least one thing to look forward to next month. Hopefully it is some really good information thats worth the wait.

And I would have to agree with the award they gave GH III

that "rapidly fading" comment made me laugh, especially since here in Europe GH3 is picking up more and more momentum because of the Rock Band delay.

I actually agree that it's fading rapidly. Rock Band is bringing something new to the genre, and now GH has 3 games of the same basic idea. Just really cool songs in all of them.

Just got my October 2007 Issue of Gamepro in the mail today (Don't ask me why it says October, I don't know why they are two months off) and there was nothing about Rock Band except for a tiny picture that is really old and like a one sentence thing about how awesome it is.

with the main difference being that GH3 will be in stores this Xmas, whereas Rock Band will not.

I just got the EGM October in the mail and there was nothing about it inside except winning best in show, but in the preiview for NOVEMBERS issue they say that they're gonna have info then. but by then it will have been broken anyways

I just got the Game Informer today and there is a little tidbit that may be a mis-interpreted statement or a nice little piece of info regarding Metallica. First off it is in the listing of Top 50 games of E3 and it is #3 while the "other game" is at #13 only. But anyway this is the exact sentence it says, "It's all about the online this time, whether it's you playing four-player with buddies all across the country or piling up the hundreds of songs that will show up as downloadable content in the first year, including full ablum collections from the likes of Metallica and The Who."

If this statement is true then we are gauranteed a full album from Metallica, most likely the Black Album if I were to guess!

Yep. Enough saying "eah!" after every word to go around for everyone. Oh joy.

Black Album probably eh.....

I don't really mind, Black Album isn't that bad, I would have rather had Ride the Lightning or Kill Em All. But I will still have fun with the Black Album.

Not that it's impossible that we'll see a full album from Metallica at some point, but I'm guessing Game Informer's comments were just based on the press releases, which don't actually say anything specifically about a full album from Metallica, just key tracks from their collection.

20 bucks says that statement is based on a misunderstanding of older information, not new information.

Yeah, that is just my guess though, I was thinking that because that is the cd that Enter Sandman is on just like Who's Next or the rumored Nevermind for the other DLC albums.

Yeah, I understand it was only your guess, but I totally agree with it, if there was a 'Tallica album, it would be the Black Album, it's the most popular and like you said, has a song on the disc :)
