I checked to see if this had been posted. Didn't see it so here it is. (http://wii.ign.com/articles/816/816619p1.html)

Definitely some pretty cool Wii-specific features not found in the other versions...

I'm loving the noise coming out of the wii-mote and the rumble features!

Sounds good.. but I'm still probably going to get it for 360.

Thanks for the article, though. :)

I'm getting the 360 version, but it was still a good read. My favorite Wii feature is hearing the "squelch" (as IGN put it) come out of the guitar via the Wii-mote when you miss a note. It might be weird to have the guitar rumbling though. And technically if you messed up, you would hear the mess up in the amp, not the guitar, but I like the feature anyway.

Yeah the "squelch" coming from the guitar is definitely my favorite part (even though it would obviously come from the amp... minor details :-P). I will also be getting it for the 360. I am truly a sucker for Live and all the achievements. Plus we know we'll get dlc and full online multiplayer. Not to say the Wii version wont have online features they just probably wont be as robust as the 360's.

Pretty cool stuff though anyways for all the Wii fans!

EDIT: I also can't help but think that the Wii-guitar will be much cheaper than all the other versions. Essentially it's just a shell with buttons. All the wireless functionality and power comes from the wii-mote. I wonder how RO will handle the pricing for this version....

Wow, I like the idea of it shaking to the beat during Star Power (also unrealistic but sometimes unrealistic is fun) :)

Maybe I need to think about buying a Wii instead of getting it for my PS2. Hmmm....

Vicarious Visions = Fail

But I hope it turns out good.

Thanks a lot for posting this, dude. I needed to see a hands-on review. :D I'm already getting the Wii version, but, this turned me on to it a lot more.:D

I've been thinking some sort of built-in speaker would be cool for a guitar controller, this seems like a smart way to implement it.

My general dislike of the Wii is overshadowed by this bit of coolness. :)

Sounds pretty cool. I'm glad they didn't go overboard with Wii specific controls. I like the idea of sound coming from the guitar, I always found it messed me up a bit when I was playing with someone else and they missed notes and it made that sound I could never tell if it was me or them, I guess this will make that much easier.

I'm not too sure I like the rumble features or not, I guess it will work, but it might be a bit annoying, I guess you could turn them off in the end anyways.

I think I'll be buying the 360 version of this anyways, especially if the guitar works for Rock Band, it will save me some money.
