So I've noted that the setlist is very open to many genres, and the indie scene actually has good influence here, as seen by the likes of Weezer, Ok Go, The Hives, The Strokes, Jet, etc.

It's shaping out to be a great setlist. But I need Franz Ferdinand in Rock Band. And I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels this way.

I think either This Fire or Michael would be the best choices for Rock Band. Shout out your favorites, let it be heard.

I was one that voted no. I just cant get FF for some reason, I think its mainly the vocals, my eardrums just go into pain when I hear the music.

And, no, I don't want Franz Ferdinand. Take Me Out is quite fun, but it was already in Guitar Hero. There are so many bands that have never been in any GH game, so give them the chance!!
Besides, FF is not that good... all songs sound kinda the same.

I like Franz Ferdinand! I loved Take Me Out, I'm having fun right now with This Fire, and Do You Want To was nice to sing in Singstar.

since Take Me Out was in GH1 and nothin in GH2, i wouldn't be surprised to see another Franz song in RB, possibily This Fire or Do You Want To. their style seems to fit the mold for what they are putting on the game disc. its almost inevitable there will be at least some DLC, if not full albums.

yeah back when they were accepting requests i requested "im your villain" its my favorite franz song and its pretty fun to play on real guitar too. vocals are good in that song too.

Okay, crazy lady, I never said you can't have your opinion, but why would you say no to a song/band suggestion in a game that has virtually no limit to what songs can be in it (via downloadable content and HDDs in consoles)? I'm not saying that Franz has to be on the disc. I just want a download option at one point in time. Hence why the poll had no "no" option. There's no limit to what songs can be on RB, so there's no reason for people to say no on any suggestions, really.

Ok KID... I said I have my own opinion. I would much rather see RB spend their time putting good songs for DLC. I dont even want them to waste the time coding the songs for Franz whatever. The songs just suck and all sound the same. I didnt even 5* the GH one, couldnt handle listening to it more than once.

You realize they plan on putting out new songs every week, right? Every band can and will have the chance to get into Rock Band. I never said that I don't like FF at all. They are better than most suggestions here. But I don't like them a lot. There a so many bands still not included in the game that should be in it more than FF.

I just find it kinda pointless to create a poll with no "no" option, that's all I wanted to say.

And yeah, I'm an Indie kid, but FF is one of the few Indie bands I don't like very much.
Well, let's say I'm not pissed if FF is in the game, I even would like to play it, but I would be extremly pissed if FF is in the game and none of the bands I suggested.

Also, like I already said, I think they should choose bands that never have been in a GH game.

No problem with Franz Ferdinand as DLC though.

Why not create a thread that people can actually voice their opinions on? Dont expect to create a band setlist thread and actually think that you'll ONLY get answers of people who like the band, it just doesnt work like that. I personally love NIN, and i know there are NIN haters out there.. that's fine, if I was to create my own thread about NIN, I would be stupid to think that there wouldnt be people out there in that thread disagreeing with me.

I got introduced to FF with Guitar Hero, and I'm happy for it. I like Franz Ferdinand, and I don't think all his songs sound the same. At least not any more than most other bands sound "the same." FF has a unique sound, but it's not like you can splice 2 songs together and not notice (http://jeffmilner.com/2005/02/this-is-how-you-remind-me-someday.htm):rolleyes:.

I'm not going to vote for the poll though, since there's no point. I don't think FF is a must have for the disc, but I'd like to see at least a few songs for download or something.

The Fallen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdPycggBuXA) is probably the song I'd like to see most for the game. I just ask that any one who says they don't like FF give it a chance if they've never heard it before.

Then again, i dont like metallica due to the guy's voice either. I'm very picky about music :P

Actually I hadn't known that song before GH1. I only have the album "you could have it so much better", and I thought "do you want to" is their most known song. *shrugs*


I think it's pretty silly to argue about the poll, it's not representative anyway.
