Multiple Issues

I just purchased the PS3 version kit. We opened it last night and the first thing my son noticed was that the game itself was for PS2. Is this normal? All of the controllers seem to be marked for PS3 and we can get the drums and mic to both work. No such luck with the guitar. NOTHING. It will not connect at all. Tried it in both my PS2 and PS3, neither work. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Well, if the disc inside the box is the incorrect version for the console you have, then I would return the entire game to the retailer. The PS3 controllers also work on the PS2, so the exact same equipment is included with bundles for both systems, only the game disc itself is different. If you don't want to try returning the game to where you purchased it, your best option is probably RMAing the game disc and the guitar, though that may take considerable time.
