Since there are 26/40 songs announced, we still got 14 left. Will Harmonix bring out their big guns or what (not saying I'm not already satisfied with the previously announced songs, but some people are)? What if these were the last 14 tracks announced, would you be satisfied?

Pearl Jam ''Black''
Queen ''Tie Your Mother Down''
Derek and the Dominos ''Layla''
George Thurgood ''I Drink Alone''
Guns N' Roses ''Nightrain''
Soundgarden ''Black Hole Sun''
Wolfmother ''Joker and the Thief''
Velvet Revolver ''Fall To Pieces''
Aerosmith ''Ragdoll''
The Stooges ''Raw Power''
Van Halen ''Hot For Teacher''
Barenaked Ladies ''One Week''
Pink Floyd ''Hey You''
Alice In Chains ''Rooster''

Or should Harmonix not even announce the remaining 14, and just surprise everyone with a ****load of great tunes on launch day? Discuss.

Actually, keep Aerosmith. Replace Barenaked Ladies with some Zep and THEN we're talking!

btw, Hot for Teacher = bad assery for Rock Band

I would'nt be satisfied at all. Almost only classic rock again, and none of my Most Wanted bands, but instead a lot of bands that already have been in a Guitar Hero game before.

Haven't heard; Willing to give a chance

Hell yes!

Barenaked Ladies ''One Week''
Alice In Chains ''Rooster''

Iffy

Pink Floyd ''Hey You''
Derek and the Dominos ''Layla''

NO

Hey You is an absolutely AMAZING song, but it doesn't have any drums for the first minute and a half of the song. Which sucks, because other than that, I'd really want to play it. I'd say "Time" is probably the best fit for the game that's also a well-known Floyd hit. Unless you want to go for something a bit more obscure like Lucifer Sam or Young Lust.

Layla has four minutes at the end where there are no vocals, the drums are barely doing anything more than just keeping the beat, and the guitar is just doing a lot of long sustain notes. Replace it with "White Room" by Cream, which still has Clapton's amazing guitar, but also has really good drums and vocals for most of the song.

As it is, these two are better suited for Guitar Hero than Rock Band.

Needs more Tool. Other than that I could support this...

Well, I have to say Wolfmother's Joker would rock. But the rest, no. And I still need at least one, better two of my Most Wanted bands in the game. (And those are 10 to choose from)

not as bad as i expected. but i wouldn't be too satisfied. "Black" is the only one up there that really excites me.

You've got a lot of classic, and just barely any rock or alternative. Wolfmother would be awesome, of course, but it needs a little more modern rock, and a touch more hair rock. Alice Cooper would compliment this well.

Nope. Some of those bands would be great but not those songs.

If you're gonna pick a Barenaked Ladies song, make it 'Pinch Me'.

The rest, barring a few, are fine for this game.

BNL I could toss out quite a few ideas, But I'd love to see "Alcohol" (From their best known album), "Second Best" (Obscure pick, but it highlights every instrument for at least a little bit), "Wind It Up" (Newer track, great guitar work), or "Sound of Your Voice" (Newer track, great singing).

I'm with Wings of Steel on "Time". Great, well known Floyd track. Probably lead to alot of people singing drunkenly along, like "Wanted: Dead or Alive", so good times.

However, as to your actual point, while surprises in the setlist are nice, they don't really make any sense to advertise your game. At the end of the day, Harmonix is a company, still wants to make cash. If you were making this game, and you got Van Halen and Pink F'N Floyd to sign on, would you really want to keep that a secret? Or would you rather advertise the sh*t out of it, so people start frothing at the mouth at the chance to play? Especially considering the competition in this case already has the head start with casual players due to name recognition and pricepoint. I'm sorry, but it would be an amazingly dumb move to leave ANY main tracklist songs (or bonus songs by major artists) unannounced before shipping.
