Coolest Prospect with DLC I think

If HMX stays true to their word that they will put out DLC each week, which i believe they will, then if a band that you want to see in Rock Band isn't secured at launch, such as Zep or AC/DC, they can secure them later, and release them as DLC. Like with GH2 if they weren't on the game, you were SOL. but now with this, if I dont get what i want at 1st, there's always the possibility it'll come later, which is awesome.

DLC opens up a lot of possibilities and I hope they're able to use it to its full potential. DLC alone can keep this game fresh for years

You would think others would realize this potential as well, but all that keeps coming up around here is stuff like "I'm so disappointed with the setlist, I might not buy the game now unless they put in more metal"

You're absolutely right, and the success of the game as it moves along will help convince some of those stubborn holdouts to maybe give a little.

I'm quite sure that HMX will deliver on their promises (they're very customer driven) and they've even gone to the extent of polling us for what we think are reasonable prices (Bravo HMX on that move!) and set up the Music Advisory Board to look into getting the songs for DLC.

We'll see how things go. Just don't get discouraged if your favorite band isn't in the first group of announced songs, there's a lot of life to this game and it'll be around a long time.

yeah cause u know there will be people who will freak out when pink foyd isnt in rock band for example lol.

also, i hope we see repeating tracks from GH1 and 2 as DLC, cause they should already have the roghts tothose songs as they secured them when they were working on the GH series. liek for instance, free bird i think is a must for rock band, a perfect final encore lol.

I strongly believe that Harmonix will deliver on DLC, but I completely understand that most people aren't counting on DLC after they got burned so badly on GH2.

Yeah, I've been wondering about that as well. There are more than a few GH1/2 songs which would be ideal throw into Rock Band.

Search and Destroy has a kick-ass sounding drum track. Check out the "making of" bonus video on the GH2 disc for a clip of it.

And Caught in a Mosh... motormouth lyrics and drum track... would be a really good high-difficulty song.

Personally, I don't even care about the big hits. I want to see unsigned bands coming to DLC for free/crazy cheap. I don't know about you guys, but if I turn on GH2, I'm only playing the bonus tracks anymore.

If they drop a 30 song pack of unsigned artists for 10 bucks, I'll eat that up and beg for more.

i mean dont get me wrong i want them to be 1 dollar a song but if they were higher, i wouldnt complain paying extra because its more than just one part your downloading. you're downloading 4 different games, vocals, guitar, drums, and bass. which is why say for example i doubt it but if they wer 4 dollars per song and 15 per album, i would buy

DLC is the reason I'm getting a 320 GB HDD for my PS3. The 60 gigs just ain't gonna cut it.
