he's probably thinking the impossible...transferring a mp3 or something onto the HDD and be able to play it as a selectable song on RB.

Umm, if you're talking about downloading music and then magically having the proper code be written on Rock Band for you to play them, then there's no chance of that happening, ever.

Sorry bud.

That's like, erm, the funniest question ever. lol

But kinda stupid.

Damn myself and my proofreading lol AVC.

Anyway, I don't wanna be harsh, cuz I don't wanna come off as an elitist "OAP" :p @ gh2master.
But it really was a dumb question. If the OP just took a minute to really think if it would be possible, he'd realize that it would never happen.

THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT POLITICS AND THEREFORE USELESS AND STUPID.

This person could either be talking about DLC or importing an mp3 and making a notechart. Most likely the latter, which is impossible.

Oh, and in before lock.

lol, it could happen one day, maybe.
kinda like how folks wrote up programs to create midi files ripped from audio CDs. it sorta works. but still sounds like crap in the end.

I said in another thread related to Frets on Fire, since all of our instruments will be USB, I'm sure some cheap computer program will adapt to Rock Band peripherals allowing us to use whatever we want to play songs.

People take an mp3, write the note charts, then share the files. Hopefully in the future we can do the same with RB drums :)

The thread title is VERY misleading!!

I would expect that if it does ever happen, it would work like Eyetoy groove did, so you import your song into the game and then an empty fret board would come up, and you can play whatever you want, so you would make up the notes as simple as that, save it and then you can play it like any other song in the game.

Unlikely but that would be way I would expect to see it.
Of course- unlikely though because all the character animations etc. would be messed up.
