Since Harmonix announced awhile back that they were interested in focusing on some video game music, here are a couple of songs that I think should make the cut. Feel free to add music you think you work on Rock Band!

1. One-Winged Angel (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children)
This remixed song of the final boss battle in Final Fantasy VII that appears in the movie is a heavy metal take on a legendary video game song. The rock section starts at about 40 sec in.(Listen To It) (http://youtube.com/watch?v=B_MW65XxS7s)

2. Hangarmageddon (Doom, e1m1) (Listen To It) (http://doom.herograw.net/The%20Dark%20Side%20of%20Phobos/Disk%20One%20-%20Phobos/DSoP_01_Hangarmageddon(E1M1).mp3)
A group of dedicated and musically-inclined Doom fans put together their own free 2-disc album that consists of their favorite music from the ID Software video game, remixed! ( http://doom.ocremix.org/media.html (http://doom.ocremix.org/media.html)) Hangarmageddon, while it lacks any lyrics, is Doom's signature song, and is instantly recognizable by any Doom fan. It's hard rock take is perfect for Rock Band.

1. Hell March - Command and Conquer: Red Alert Soundtrack - Frank Klepacki

I wouldn't mind this:

If it actually is something they're seriously considering, I'd highly recommend they take a look at Swedish band Game Over. (http://www.nintendometal.com/) Artistic heavy renditions of classic video game tracks, complete with vocals, pretty much perfect for Rock Band. Their takes on Mega Man 2 and Castlevania are to die for.

This would be awesome: Contra (also the band Vomitron has an awesome medley of all the contra themes)

This would be awesome: Guile Theme, Street Fighter 2

The problem with that is the band doesn't own the rights to the song which might create licensing issues.

Personally, I LOVE the music from the Hitman series, however I think I'm gonna have to wait for Orchestra Hero to play that stuff.

If they could license that stuff, hell yes.

Also Game Over is excellent.
