But seriously, how can I get a hold of a second guitar? We just celebrated easter at my house and my family was upset that there was no bass guitar. Plus, I would like to play tug of war against my bro without having to go to someone else's house.

So how did you guys do it? I've seen youtube videos of people having a full band but I also saw that you can't but individual guitars yet... or can you?

well the youtube vids youve seen have probably all been 360 since the Gibson works for 360 version of Rock Band.

If you have a PS3 you're SOL until April when they release the Stratocasters to be sold seperately unless you either A) Buy another Rock Band bundle, or B) Find someone else who owns Rock Band and borrow their guitar.

The videos you've seen are of the 360 version, in which the Guitar Hero guitars are compatible. The PS3 version was going to have GH guitar compatibility patched in, but Activison stopped Sony from releasing it. It's all one big legal mess but basically we may never see GH controller compatiblity in the PS3 version of Rock Band. The Harmonix brand controllers will be available seperately soon, though.

Man its tough having a PS3, I barely have any friends that have one and NO friends that have both a PS3 AND Rock Band. :/

Not sure where you are located, but I have seen 3rd party guitars available for Rockband for the PS3 at both Best Buy and Target.

I have two Strats and this is how I came to have them.

I am in Canada and filed an RMA in December to have my Strat replaced. Not knowing when I would get the replacement, I end up fixing the old one. I then get a nice email saying that I don't even have to return the old one due to the delay (which wasn't really that bad). So now I have two Strats. Funny thing is the original one actually works much better than the one they sent me.

The Les Paul from GH3 and the Xplorer from GH2 (both 360 versions) will work fine with 360 Rock Band.

However, at the moment, the ONLY guitar that works with PS3 Rock Band, is the Straocaster (unless something 3rd party recently came out that I don't know about).

If you're willing to lay down the extra bones, I suggest just getting a second set, and selling the extra game (or trading it in to Gamestop or something).

I will also check the first part of April to see if it's only going to be the Strats coming out for the 360.

Does anyone have the Les Paul or Xplorer for the 360? How do they compare the the Strat? Which do you think is better??

I'm a PS3 owner too and always wanted one. Well I was lucky enough to get one for free from EA. I hope they screw up my RMA's more often.
