You get your own advantages from time to time--we had to wait a few months for Mario Strikers Charged, for example. And all the Singstar games, as noted above--the Singstar titles having a better song selection because the U.S. karaoke game maker was too busy with GH2 and Rock Band :)

Because they have to translate it to all the European languages. German, French, Spanish, etc.

Yep, that's the reason. Translating the text in other languages is an easy task in comparisson.

It'd be awesome if the game shipped with all the release DLC content already out in the US. I dunno how much that would be pushing the limits of a regular DVD though.

As far as i'm aware the UK is getting bonus Regional Content for both the disc and DLC, just as the rest of Europe will be.

As for the release in 08 no official reason has been given as to why but a strong possibility could be making sure enough controllers etc meet demand.. i doubt it's language translation rock band isn't really text heavy and most Europeans if you ask them can and will read English if it means not waiting longer for the game.. there is the need for the whole NTSC-PAL conversion for those with out HD TVs but again i wouldn't think it takes that long to do, so my money is on the controllers which is Ok with me nothing could be worse than releasing at the same time as the U.S only to find that there isn't enough controllers.

I'm happy with half the ppl in the US missing out so the rest of the world gets a chance too.

All the die hard RB fans on these boards would pre-order and secure a bundle, it'd only be the casual gamers missing out.

Some free DLC would be nice. Giving exclusive content (even if it's a timed exclusive) would be a bad idea.
