Now, certain games, through my trawling, can be found region free on the 360, so lets say, hypothetically, me being in the UK en all, I successfully found my Rock Band full set. Now, I've heard with region free games (on the PSP at the very least) you can't go online with them - true or false?

I presume false, but I need to check, because the main point of RB for me is Live, its why my Live getting renewed I don't mind doing.

Couldn't there also be issues with PAL compatibility?

lol with "n00b free zone"

lame.

anyways, an import would most likely work on your console, but who knows?

I'd personally wait, unless they answer your question, i'd hate to get it and then find out it doesn't work.

You know what to do? It's an absolute DESPERATION mode tactic. Get someone in the US to send you an entire American 360 console. That's considering, only if it doesn't work with yours already. I did something like that with an instrument I wanted to buy. Called a Hang Drum, only made in Switzerland. Just get someone to send you one, and pay them. It'll work out.

Nah, pretty much everything can handle either PAL or NTSC, dunno about SECAM but meh.

I'm going to be importing the game to Australia (or getting a U.S. friend to send it) and my only concern is being able to access the DLC. I'm hoping Rock Band can be tricked into thinking i live in the US if I have a US account for my PS3 (which i do, so i can access the US store).

Otherwise I may have to buy the game a few months later when it is released her and things will be cool... but i'll be down $500, lol

I am likely to import it, and just buy a localised copy of the game if DLC content is otherwise unavailable. Sure, it means losing an extra $120 on a 2nd copy of the game, but it really depends on what "2008" means in their announcements.

It could be March. That's more than long enough to justify a 2nd copy on release if I am still playing it and want DLC content.

(Aside: Release date HMX! At least then some of these decisions will be clearer)

I live in Italy and I had no problem on playing online with a US version of Phantasy Star Universe on a European Xbox360 (with an EU gamertag). ;)

If Rock Band will be region free, I'll definitely import it (just the game, I'll wait the EU release to buy the full-set and I'll play with GH2 controller in the while).
