Rock and Roll All Nite would be great to see in Rock Band, very high energy and suited to the each part!

personally, i'd love to see Strutter make a comeback from GHII. i must have played that one hundreds of times on the Official Playstation Magazine demo disc before the game even came out

War Machine would be cool too, I pasted the message (I just wrote) below from another thread to kinda start a chant from the hordes

When they release the KISS pack they are going to secretly include in it the makeup and clothes as well as Gene's Ax shaped bass & Pauls fractured mirror guitar!!

(All of that was purely MY own fantasy, straight up, I made it all up in the hopes that "they" would actually read it & say "Hey! THAT is a great idea!")

Another vote for Love Gun. That was one of the first albums (yes Vinyl), that I bought with my own money. I watched Kissology on VH1 the other day. I'm not a big Kiss fan, but I couldn't stop watching the Rockumentary. :)

Rock and Roll All Nite and God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You II MUST be in Rock Band!

Why do so many people keep picking "God Gave Rock And Roll To You II"? I think the song is OK, but not really worthy of being DLC.

Apart from being Eric Carr's last song (I think...maybe Singer played on it, can't remember at the moment), what do people like so much about this song that would make it better to, say, "Hotter Than Hell"?

Ummm - interesting list. Some songs I can agree with, as in the stuff off the solo albums - sort of the quirky stuff HMX likes to release as "deep cuts". But Crazy Nights? UNMASKED? Carnival of Souls?

To quote a Crazy Nights song - "No No No". That stuff is for the diehard fans ONLY. Might as well request we get the entire Music from "The Elder".

As much as I love KISS in all its incarnations (to include the Creatures of the Night/Lick It Up Vinnie Vincent-era and the WTF IS THIS?! Asylum-era), the later versions cannot hold a candle to the original four in all their glory. I've been advocating a KISS Alive! pack for awhile - great iconic songs that were all recorded before they hit superstardom - when they were young and hungry, before the release of KISS Alive! sent them to the top and Destroyer set a new mark.

Only one of these iconic tracks appears on your list -

Deuce
Strutter
Got To Choose
Hotter Than Hell
Firehouse
Nothin' To Lose
C'Mon and Love Me
Parasite
She
Watchin' You
100,000 Years
Black Diamond
Rock Bottom
Cold Gin
Rock and Roll All Nite
Let Me Go, Rock 'N Roll

If HMX would cover this album (since I'm sure the masters are long gone, and if they are available, most likely unusable for Rock Band given they're all live tracks from 1975) it would be a MONSTER. This album truly represented KISS at its best, and deserves to be DLC. I'd pay $50 to get this album on DLC.

It's so refreshing to see people interested in more DLC from KISS! I'm so very tired of seeing posts that belittle someone for liking KISS. These guys haven't been around for 35 years (and still rockin') because "they suck!"
I've been a proud follower of everything KISS since I was 10 years old; hell, the first album I ever bought was "Rock and Roll Over", which still happens to be among my favorite albums of all time, plus the best album cover ever!

So here's my wishlist...I'll try to keep it short ;)

Baby Driver
Cold Gin
Plaster Caster
Shock Me
Rockin' in the U.S.A.
Fits Like a Glove
She
Comin' Home
Spit
100,000 Years
Almost Human
Goin' Blind
Parasite
Love Gun
Unholy
Watchin' You
I Just Wanna
Take it Off
War Machine
2000 Man
Lick it Up
God of Thunder
Speedin' Back to My Baby
Domino
You Wanted the Best

You know, I could go on and on...
I realize that most of these will be pretty obscure to most except the purest KISS fan, but I think these songs all offer a good mix of playability and fun factor. I know most will want Rock and Roll All Nite, Duece, Strutter, and the like, but I figure at some point, the standards will arrive as DLC. This is more of my personal wish list ***stares off dreamily into space***

Wow - that's quite a list, and it covers pretty much the band's entire career, and yeah some of that stuff is obscure (Baby Driver - YEAH!)! But I would have no problem with any of those tracks if they ever got released.

Great, that's your opinion. You're welcome to it, and I will not attempt to influence you one iota. But, for those of us who get it, we will continue the party.

I would suggest giving KISS Alive! a listen if you ever have the time or inclination. You'll hear a band giving it's all, young and hungry, trying to make it big. You'll see no makeup, no fancy pyro or blood spit. But you'll catch a little bit of that early energy and fire that put KISS on the map. And maybe you'll enjoy it - I hope you do.

No, m00p is right - KISS have recorded 24 studio albums spanning a 35 year career yet only have two good songs. Kidding! ;P

I'd say if you had never heard of KISS, or hadn't had your opinion coloured in some way of who or what you think they're all about - listen to their 'MTV Unplugged' recording.

If you like good songs & good music, you'll like that. Not only does it prove how good they are *without* the fireworks and makeup, it's not the usual 'greatest hits' performance either.

Comin' Home
Plaster Caster
Goin' Blind
Do You Love Me
Domino
Sure Know Something
A World Without Heroes
Rock Bottom
See You Tonight
I Still Love You
Every Time I Look at You

And then, the original lineup perform

2,000 Man
Beth
Nothin' To Lose
Rock and Roll All Nite

In fact....KISS MTV Unplugged for DLC! :)

Honestly, especially with the newest comments from Gene Simmons... I don't know that I would download this.

I might do what I did with the Metallica songs and have someone else give me money to buy em but- I can't stand asshats.

Especially ones that blame eight year olds for the fact that their music doesn't sell well due to them "downloading it illegally".

Thanks for sharing ;)

Also, let's not derail the thread because Gene Simmons is a doughball.

I have noticed a lot of folk having a bad opinion on KISS, but then - which version / lineup?

The guys who say 'KISS were bad musicians' - surely this can't apply to the likes of Eric Carr & Singer, or Bruce Kulick: Consumate studio pros? Or even the whizz-bang pyrotechnics of Vinnie Vincent or Mark St. John?

Or perhaps it's assumed KISS have always been the same four guys that over the course of 35 years never bothered to learn to play their instruments or write a third good song? ;P

Maybe KISS packs detailing particular eras of the band's history would help:

The Originals - 6 tracks (I'm being conservative) from each of the first 6 studio albums.

Alive / Alive II - (a 'best of both albums)

Solo Albums - (one track each from Ace, Peter, Gene & Paul)

Non-makeup - A couple of tracks from each lineup, taking in Carr, Vincent, Kulick, Singer & St. John.

Sorry Thommy Thayer, you don't count.

Ah! A fellow who knows a bit of his KISStory, so to speak!

Personally, I'd favor music from the first three albums over anything else, as my signature indicates. To me, KISS, Hotter Than Hell and Dressed To Kill are three of their best albums, with Alive! capping it all off. A lot of iconic songs for KISS can be found on these albums, like Black Diamond, Hotter Than Hell, Parasite, 100,000 Years, Strutter, Deuce, She, Rock Bottom, Rock And Roll All Nite, etc. But being a hardcore fan of all things KISS, I'd favor a Music From "The Elder" pack with stuff like The Oath, Dark Light, and I.

KISS did manage to put out some pretty good music between '74 - '98, though yes, there were some true stinkers. It's a hard thing to try and extract 6 quality tracks out of it - because I can name at least three decent songs per album.

Meh, Ace Frehely was nothing special. The only reason anyone bought their albums was because of their stage performances. In which Gene just payed to have one of the greatest concerts on earth, to popularize his band.

*Meh. None of KISS's band members are dressed anything like Spiderman's 'Venom'. Also, since KISS were dressing like that in 1974, long before 'Venom' was created - it'd be 'Spiderman's Venom' dressed up like KISS.

In any case, do you really want to start a 'lets look at how ridiculous metal bands look' conversation? :)

Man, this has got to be the funniest post I've read...
The whole purpose of ANY band touring was/is/always will be---selling albums. And to all those uninitiated in getting their money's worth for a concert: the ONLY stage show is a KISS stage show!

"Ace/Gene/Paul/Peter/Eric Carr/Bruce Kulick/Eric Singer/KISS=Nothing special"...hmmm...35 years of Rockin' & Rollin' in every major city in the world, including a 1983 concert in Rio de Janeiro (that's in Brazil) that drew nearly 150,000 fans; 24 RIAA certified gold releases and 12 platinums with worldwide album sales in excess of 80 million. The 1996-97 Reunion Tour was the highest grossing tour of ANY band for that year.

Man, go back to watching the Jonas Brothers...

I love every KISS album. I own all their albums and I dont think I will ever get sick of any of them. I think "The Elder" is a great album and would love to see some DLC from that album, but that can come after the KISS greats! To me the greatest KISS album is Alive! It has all the great songs from the first three albums(which are in the top 6 KISS albums ever). I would love to see Alive! Destroyer, Love Gun, or Rock and Roll Over as DLC albums.

i think they should have more kiss DLC because kiss ROCKS!!!!!!!!! the ones i would like to see are

tears are falling
sure know something
who wants to be lonely
i love it loud

Kiss for life

I'd like to see those, but I'd love to see a full album DLC for "ALIVE!" and if possible "ALIVE II" ....but if I had to choose one it would be "ALIVE!" This is one fantastic live album - where many of the live songs are far better than the studio versions.

i personally think KISS is one of the most overrated bands ever, i dislike their music a great deal, BUT i'm all for diversity in the game, so i say bring it on. plus, i can't deny their longevity in the music world, and millions of people like them, so it would most likely be great selling DLC. so, i repeat, bring it on.

Huge KISS fan here, and will buy any and all songs they release. I need more than just Detroit Rock City and Calling Dr. Love.

I agree, more KISS!

Also, Rockband should release a KISS Rockband (like the Beatles) or at least the new album to DLC.

I've gotta have "Love Gun" on RB. I'd play that song over and over again.
