Maybe I'm just an unobservant moron, but I can't figure out - anywhere - how to set a forum signature. Can you guys help me out?

Yeah, it's not as easy as in other forums.

Well, you go to "My Account", then "Settings", then "Profile Settings" and whatever you type into the headline box will be your sig. If you want a pic you'll have to use html. I tried the normal forum bbcode first but it didn't work, at least for me not.

Nope. The only admins are USUALLY the ones with "hmx" in front of their names. But the only one you'll see posting is HMXSean.

This is exactly the kind of trend I don't want to see on these forums. Signature images were a huge problem in the decline of the official GH boards. Cinder even made an attempt to reign in the worst offenders and a huge flame-war insued over "proper" signature etiquette.

Crap like the idiot dancing kids 2 posts above me... it provides no value to the board at all. (besides increasing load times of pages and making it difficult to scan threads)

Everyone has an avatar next to their posting name already, we don't need to junk up the forums with a million oversized pictures and animiated gifs that have NO bearing on the conversation.

Signatures are really unnecessary anyway. Someone is always putting idiotic crap in them. Nothing is wrong with a nice small image or even a catchy phrase, but Phrank is right. May the sigs be stricken down before the cleansing makes its way here as well.

Sometimes they are amusing, mostly just annoying. Like the one of the guy dancing (not in this thread), the kids dancing, and the bowler. Overboard and unsavory in my opinion. It causes forum issues. Who wants that?
