More metal is great, but I could think of better ways to get your point across.

Ways like:

Posting in the correct forum
Proper grammar
Complete sentences
Less asterisks (you know, those star things that replaced your bad words)
Not bashing people for their music tastes (with the exception of Emo, Country, and Rap)
I'm sure there are more, but I want to hurry up and post this so you to see this before you get banned

Rock Band does lack some metal, but you can probably get your fill from most Guitar Hero games. I personally wont miss it all that much. And I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of it show up as DLC.

Seriously... I'm gonna be bummed by a lack of "metal"... but FTM, Rush, OK Go, Radiohead, etc... there are quite a few amazing songs in Rock Band that more than make up for it. That's what DLC is for. As long as the DLC is around $1-2$ per song average, I'll buy a LOT of it.

Besides. The age comment, well, dude, in ten years from now, or maybe even twenty, when new music is out, you're still going to be favoring your metal, and then the kids your age now will be all "Dude, this old music sucks balls, you're old, Oldy McOlderson!".

I think we all can get our metal on Guitar Hero III, i don't want to hear people try and sing Slayer, Guns N Roses, Muse, Iron Maiden, and others, metal is better for Guitar Hero i think, Rock Band is good for songs that have good singing and drums also, so i think all music will be covered in Guitar Hero and Rock Band, so be happy

Gotta love how he wants better music, then names some of the worst bands of the genre... apparantly anyway... 'cause there's no way I'm classing SoaD in the same genre as Maiden, SoaD needs its own genre, like "crap metal" or something.

Anyway, I class myself as a metal head and yet I'm more than happy listening to most stuff, be it classic rock like Scorpions (their new album rocks, seriously), or Skid Row, be it more melodic rock in Meat Loaf, or classic metal like Maiden, hell, I'm even partial to some good Enya, and some Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Never did understand people who listen to one genre and ignore the rest, even Emo music has some good songs in it... admittedly that's not for listening to, but more because when emo's listen to it, it kills them off, but it's good in it's own way.

Speaking of which... if they play that sodding MCR song on the radio again, it's going in the river!

I had quite a few problems registering for this forum, but managed to get in a couple of weeks ago. Lurking around for a while as I have done, it was nice to see the general attitude of posters was respectful and good natured. It was also nice to see people with favoured genre of music not slagging off other peoples taste. But good try on bringing this down to the cesspit that is now the GH forum.

So my low browed friend. I'd like to point out the following:

Rock = Not always metal.


I'm a fully signed up (old) fanboy and would buy this game if I could play drums to kenny G (Actually I take that back, but you get me point). However, this game has to appeal to a mass market. Your casual player is more likely to play this game and pay the higher than average cost (perfectly OK) if they have the likes of Bon Jovi, Radiohead, QOSA etc packaged with the game. Little formula for you:-

Mainstream songs with game = Greater sales
Greater Sales = More potential to develop more specialist music via DLC

I apologise for the complex formula above and hope your eyes uncross soon.
