Controller compatabilitiy?

This might be a dumb question but whatever, i know that GH controllers are going to be able to work with RB but how would an xbox controller work with a 360, aren't they different types of ports. And i have GH for PS2, i can only assume that those controllers wont work for 360...right?

uhhh... yeah xbox controllers do not work with the 360, but, guitar hero wasnt on the OG xbox so uhhhh..... yeah.
