Rock Band Commercial

I just had a thought, ive been on the forum for a couple months now and i havent heard any tv adds for RB. I really think that Harmonix and mtv should put out some commercials because i know i mentioned RB to some of my friends and they had never heard of it and they said it sounded very fun to play. SO do you think it would be a good idea for Harmonix to make RB commericals?

I am sure they will when they get closer to launch date. With MTV on board, you can definitely guarantee some kind of advertisement. Especially on the the music channels.:)

I think they will especially with MTV backing them. But in the best case scenario the game won't be out for another 2 months. Even for games that have recieved such high praise and acclaim as Bioshock, I only saw a commercial a few days before it came out. And with a game as popular as Madden year in and year out I saw the first commercial for it 3 weeks before the release date.

We probably won't see a commercial on MTV, or another channel for at least another month or so. That would be my guess. They probably don't want to shove the ads (TV/Magazine/etc.) down peoples throat too early. But, I'm sure they already have this all figured out.

Ding. I was just thinking that as you posted it. Once we find that out, the commercials won't be far behind.

but also in the madden series every one knows the game will come out year after year but with RB its new so i think there NEEDS to be commercials

I think the majority of the RockBand promotion is gonna go towards the casual/nongamer TV/MTV/Yahoo etc and after (or really close to) launch.
