This drives me crazy--when you're playing someone else and if their not doing so well they'll drop out and forfeit the song. argh! I understand if something comes up but I've played one guy 4 times in a row and the 3 times I was beating him, he forfeited, the one time he was ahead and won he stayed in the game.

Since the songs aren't that long I propose some sort of forfeit penalty such as losing 1 point off your ranking--no matter what, you lose 1 point. So if you're rating is 18 and you forfeit your new rank would be 17. Do it again and you lose another point from your ranking. If your rank is 27 and you forfeit your new rank would be 26. Nice and simple.

It's just so jarring and upsetting when you're playing and they just forfeit. So please add this to the game. Thank you.

I hate it. I always accept my losses...

actually when you forfeit you do get counted as a loss, the person that stays gets the win. So when somebody bails on you, they basically just handed you a victory early. Enjoy it.

If you are on the xbox just set it to avoid that player in the future and give them a bad review on xbox live.

The penalty to trueskill should be greater than 1.

Minus 50DKP! Err, wrong forum...

Minus 10 or 1/2 total Trueskill whichever is higher!

It really IS quite jarring. You're having fun, getting into the song, rockin' the solo and Shazam...no more music. It usually happens on a favorite song too.

Yeah but that would be detrimental to those of us that dont play RB in a bomb shelter, away from all contact by other life forms.

Sometimes the phone rings, sometimes ya gotta go take a piss, sometimes the dog knocks the controller outta socket, sometimes you get arrested, sometimes you just lose your connection.

SOMETIMES I'll just lay the guitar down if something else is going on that needs my attention and just let the other person play through, sometimes I just say **** it and go ahead and give them the win by forfeit.

It's happened about 3 or 4 times.. each time some ******* gives a bad feedback rating because he doesn't get to perform his best Keith Richards impersonation for his uninterested girlfriend.

I think the loss on forfeit system works just fine.

some people have a legit excuse to bail out, not necessarily that they are losing...i play through songs even if i end up with a 55%

"Minus 50 DKP for not doing what your supposed to do!"

But yea, unless you're going for the achievemnet on XBOX, it's better for the person to quit for the winner because you get to finish the song earlier.

I thought I mentioned it but I do understand that real life can interrupt the 4 to 9 minutes your playing a song and you just need to forfeit but does that happen a lot? I was talking about the people who forfeit because they're losing and figure they don't want to finish the song. Those are the people that upset me. The ones who make it a habit to quit.

But ok, if RockBand won't take away a point then I'd settle for a less jarring way of quitting a song. How about a new CGI sequence that occurs when someone quits, like the song just peters out with a couple bad notes then the quitter's character throws his/her guitar down and runs away from the stage possibly crying or just wiping his/her eyes like they are crying. That I'd be cool with. ;)

I just hate to be shredding in the middle of a great solo and suddenly everything stops and ends. Man that's jarring.

Just coming up with ideas I think most can relate to.

each time some ******* gives a bad feedback rating because he doesn't get to...
...finish a ranked match in the spirit of competition, usually due to the opponent missing two notes after a 300 combo or whatever. OOPS I F'ED UP BETTER QUIT NOW NO POINT IN PLAYING ON LOLZ

...yeah, it's happened a few times.

There is a very SIMPLE solution for this.

HMX creates a patch that bans a user that has either quit or disconnected for the next 10 minutes.

If you're losing a song you would rather just sit there for the next 2 mins and take the loss rather than sitting around waiting for 10 mins to get back in. This would also allow for genuine disconnections. If you lost your net it should take about 10 mins to come back in anyways.

As for people saying "I had to take a piss" or "the phone rang". How old are you that you can't hold you pee pee in for a few mins? lol
And my phone has rang plenty of times, I don't have to turn my power bar off and stop everything I'm doing to talk on the phone. I put the guitar down and answer the phone, I'll turn it down or mute it. No reason to quit. I just watch the other guy rock out and he gets his win.
