BEFORE I GET FLAMED... ... YES, I have read through the Survival Guide...
Anywho... it has been said constantly that you will be able to adjust the volume of your mic (just in case you suck at singing - hahahahahahahaha, so many jokes)...
However, what if you have an ego the size of Montana and you ONLY want to hear YOUR voice?
It's something that doesn't seem to be brought up. I KNOW there's independent volume controls for the mic... but what about the actual vocal track in the game?
and..... GO!

You can turn the original voice down.

Adjusting the volume can go from the two extremes to anywhere in between. So you could completely have just the actual vocals, and not hear yourself at all, or if you want you can only have your own voice, turning the actual vocals completely off.

HMX did the Karaeoke revolution series and have no doubt they will do RB on the same format.. Which is yes, You can turn the game vocals down and to the point of off. I also hate having to hear both the game vocals and the players vocals. Unless they are in perfect harmony (which never happens in any vid I've seen) then it just sounds horrible.

i kind of need the vocals on if i'm going to be singing. i'm not a singer, but more of an imitator.
so at least in my videos the vocals will be in sync with the actual song.
i'm endeavoring to play guitar and sing at the same time. it'll be a blast!
someone already said to me the dumb statement when i was telling them about the game .. "why not just start a real band ?"

Real Band. That'll be HMX's next game in the lineup, since by the time Rock Band 2 comes out, it'll have advanced that much.

I believe the PAX clip where Gabe/Tycho/Kara/Robert do 'Wanted Dead Or Alive' doesn't have the original vocal track, so that should be as much confirmation as you need.

well say your playing online and you just wanna hear yourself so you turn yourself all the way up
can everyone else turn you all the way down and listen to the original vocal track?

I'd imagine they're client-side settings, but there's been no online play demos so that's up in the air. :)

I would hope so. That way if someone sucks at singing, you can turn him down, and if he can turn himself up. Then everyone is happy.
