Harmonix, you have an untapped goldmine of already licensed songs! read this!

You guys and EA are pretty close, via Dev/Publisher relations. I dont know the specifics of what you can and can't do with this partnership, but i do know one thing. 99 percent of the songs on Burnout Paradise and Burnout Revenge are awesome. How hard would it be to license these songs for Rock Band? I would imagine there is still some work to do to bring these songs over to RB, but id imagine it is a bit easier thanks to EA already licensing them for their games. Im sure many would agree that most of these songs would be great to play to. I just thought i would bring this up for fellow Burnout players and general music lovers. Please get some of these songs for us to enjoy, it shouldnt be too hard! :)

regardless of the songs on the list he makes a point, do the Harmonix people even read this board or did they just put this part of it in to make people feel like their concerns are being addressed? You would think this is one that they would at least attempt to answer.

^Haha, that is an ingenius idea. I'm so sick of Dragonforce it makes me want to puke. The only reason most of these people know who they are is because of GHIII.

Songs are not licensed to a company, but rather for a specific product (in this case a video game). Because they have acquired licenses for these songs in another game does NOT entitle them to use them for anything else. All the songs would have to be re-licensed.

So sorry to break it to you, but they are not sitting on a gold mine.

A song has to be licensed for each game it's in. That's why we had to pay to transfer our RB1 songs to RB2.
