Package/Control?

The package comes with a guitar, mic, and drums. Where do I get the bass? Another guitar or what? And has anyone tried using a PS2 to USB converter to try and play 360 GH2 with a PS2 guitar?

Well, the GHII X-plorer will work. The GHIII might work. But the GHII for the PS2 won't. You see, each button, along with the whammy bar and strum bar, correspond to a button. Like, on the PS2 the strum bar is L2 (I think). And on the 360, the strum bar is Left button. All the guitar is is a fancy remote. Try playing a different game with the controller, it's pretty fun.

But, to answer your question. You'd either need to use the X-plorer from the 360 version of GHII, or just buy another Strat. Also, it's not confirmed that there will be only 1 guitar, there may be two.
