Pink Floyd?

i know when i say pink floyd, most people go "ohhh too easy", but personally i think some pink floyd would be a pretty sweet addition to rock band. i'm sure rock band wants to put a wide range of genres into their game so i personally think psychedellic would be a nice installment.


some songs from the wall, umma gumma, saucerfull of secrets and many more would be pretty fun =p. personally i think pink floyd would be a vocal based thing, but still. =p

Dogs would be an awesome track. It's freaking long and has like 7 solos in it. Something like Run Like Hell could be tricky if they did it with a lot of 3 finger chords and stuff. I love Pink Floyd.

i think requesting Floyd is futile at this point, its like requesting Zeppelin or The Beatles. HMX knows these bands are wanted, its just a matter of getting them on board.

i cant believe that. Pink Floyd is probably one of the less requested bands. they may be legends but still. its always good to promote =)

I don't think the Pink Floyd songs would be easy. David Gilmour is a great guitarist. Think of tracks like "Money" it has a wicked solo.
I would download alll Pink Floyd songs!!

oh believe me, i would kill for some Floyd dlc, but what i'm tryin to say is getting their songs licensed for the game is probably next to impossible, just like Zepp and Beatles. otherwise, we would have seen songs from all 3 of these bands in GH and RB.

david gilmore truly is a legendary guitarist and you are totaly rite! some solo's may be quite troublesome. hmm one i can think of issssssss..high hopes from the division bell? something like that ahha, i know the final cut is an awesome album to. some songs off their might be pretty sweet =)

i know that gilmore and waters are both doing solo careers now and i dunno hwat happend to mayson and wright. but im sure if they tried hard enough they would give in. i mean..its just more money in their pockets rite? =)

oh man, final cut = by far the worst Floyd album, imo.

edit: if it was about the money, they would have reunited years ago. they reunited in 2005 just for the Live 8 show becuase there are millions of starving people dying in Africa. maybe if HMX has a solution for Africa's starvation and disease problems, they might be willing to budge.

not me, i really liked it. but then gaain i have every biography, dvd, poster, signed albums haha. he dedicated the final cut to his dad who died in the war. i know the year, but i cant recall it at the moment. just got up a while ago haha =)

i'm as big of a Floydian as anyone, greatest band EVER imo, but i just really don't like Roger Waters' solo stuff, and Final Cut is 99.9% a Roger solo album.

yeah i somewhat agree. but i think its always nice to dedicate an album to ones fallen parent. gives it a special touch. alot of people dislike the division bell too, but its become one of my favourites. i like marooned and high hopes among many others. i still think that rogers shouldnt have left..but it all happens for a reason i guess =]

final cut is one of my all time fav albums. i think the solo at the end of comfortably numb could be tricky as well. would definitly download every floyd song that they can get.

Rock band is a great game but it is lacking a lot of fundamentals when you think of "rock bands." Comfortably numb has one of the greatest guitar solos and would make a fine addition. We also need more metal i.e. slipknot, killswitch engage and etc.

i completely agree. i can play the solo for comfortably numb on my guitar, its fun and sounds amazing. nothing can beat the way david gilmore plays. but i also agree that more metal should be present such as iron maiden..megadeth..slaye...pantera...dragonforce... and MAYBE some all that remains =p...



but mostly pink floyd. =D
