Idk if anyone here has seen the official guitar hero 3 video, but it is of Dragonforce - Through the fire and flames. I was completely blown away. I was planning on renting GH3, and still do, but that game is starting to show itself in a new light. I would understand if it was the new Jordan for that franchise, but if they separate themselves and start to market as the "Rock band is fun and all, but if you want a challenge, you know where to look" game, rock band might actually have some competition. If anyone watches the video, feel free to post your thoughts :D. Btw im sure a ton of people have already put this up for discussion already, but I just had to say something. the video can be found on gamespot, sorry idk how to put in posts

Rock Band will still have challenges for its instruments. At least RB isn't sacrificing good music just to make the game challenging. I'm sure Dragonforce didn't get in GH3 just because it sounds good.

I see thats why I thought it was new, they just put the highdef version up, so it was a new video. Well ok then, your right about the all instrument challenge, but I wanted to bring another thing up. A lot of people were upset with the setlist coming out (I know these song are just for everyone, then you can download the good ones later :P), but are some music types feasible for regular people? The instruments are different, you just have to practice, but people all have very unique voices, and I don't think many people would like downloading a song and realizing that there is no way they could ever sing that type of song (and I know, just dont download then). Metal, Punk, or anything which unique vocals just dont really fit the bill in this game, because the singing kind of screws everything up, since they have to think of them as well as instruments. Anyway, hope the game scales well to that, I heard the expert (or whatever it would be) for singer is brutally hard.
