What are the lower buttons used for on the guitar?

They are solo buttons. During the solo (when the guitar note chart turns blue) you can use these buttons and no strumming is required. Also on big rock band endings you can use those with no strumming as well. Is you use them for the big rock ending, you will have to strum the final note or notes at the end.

Solo buttons. You can use them to tap the solos. You can use them to tap the big rock endings. You can also use them at any other time as long as you strum them like the normal frets.

And what the other guy said, you have to still strum the final notes as normal on the bre.

If you need a cheap fix for beating Green Grass and High Tides, utilize them.

I think you mean an easy fix. It's not cheap using the solo buttons. That's why they're there.

What are the <Del>lower</del> upper buttons used for on the guitar?

Fixed that for ya. The solo buttons are the upper (or higher) buttons, folks. Not lower. :)

He obviously meant lower as in physically lower on the neck. Not as in lower notes.....

LOL, I can play that song on Hard at least and never use those buttons.

In fact, other than the big rock endings I never use those other buttons. Reason is cause I can never switch quick enough before a guitar solo and get my fingers on the right bottons. My fingers always end up on the wrong ones and I screw up the guitar solo cause the notes before the solo are too close to the actual solo to give you enough time to switch. Make since?

I don't use them cause they mess me up.

i only use them on working man because it helps me beat the trills during the second solo

That was the point though, they're not lower on the neck. They're higher on the neck. :) Moving from headstock -> body of guitar is going low -> high.
