Ok, well this all makes sense now. I live near St. Louis, and the radio station I listen to, 105.7 the Point, has these little competitions in the morning called "What's the Point" where they play five songs that have something in common, and the first person to guess correctly wins some prize. The prize this week has been a special edition copy of Rock Band, either ps3 or 360, your choice. Plus, the DJ this morning was talking about how they're getting a 'band' together to play Rock Band today in order to practice for playing on stage at their huge music festival they have every year, Pointfest.

So basically the Rock Band bus is less than 30 miles from me right this second, but I am stuck at work and without any knowledge of where or when I could find this bus. Would've been nice to give forum members a heads-up on something like this.

yah, they did that last year too and I think they're doing it this year. they're holding, or have already held, a big GH tourney at one of the big nightclubs, Pops. I think Pointfest is later this month too, so I wonder how they're going to get a copy of the game to play there...doubt HMX is going to just leave one with them. Maybe I misunderstood the DJ.

Of course, they are one of the better demographics to market to this way. Any younger and they can't travel to play it, any older and they won't travel to play it.

I agree with Supergeek. Denver needs a spot on the tour. We seemed to get missed on a lot of things. For example, this year was the first time in years that Ozz fest stopped by. Tours always seem to skirt us to the south in Phoenix and Austin. They'll even make stops in Albuquerque, which is smaller than the Denver area.

FYI, to dispel largely held beliefs, Denver is not completely surrounded by mountains, nor is it always cold and snowy. In fact, there is very little snow, and it's quite hot most of the year.

We won't know for sure till they announce the dates, but I'm going to keep a look out at the University of Washington (because I live in Seattle). If they do the campus thing, just keep a lookout at your local state university.
