I voted Other - Ride The Lightning or For Whom The Bell Tolls would do nicely.

Phantom of the Opera is good for Maiden, but I would prefer one of their more epic songs, e.g. Hallowed Be Thy Name, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, The Lonliness of the Long Distance Runner, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Sign of the Cross, Paschendale or Brighter Than A Thousand Suns.

An instrumental couldnt go wrong either, mind. Losfer Words (Big 'Orra), Ghengis Khan Transylvania or The Ides of March are all nice instrumentals but a little short.

ORION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its instrumental but still has sweeet guitar solos and bass solos and the drums are not bad either :-P if not that than fade to black(its on the list)

I'm not a big metallica fan but i have heard all but 2 of those songs. I almost gave my vote to Battery, but Master of Puppets has to get it.

Metallica's drums arn't good enough to be the final big song, Dream Theatre has them beat on every angle, Mike>Lars, I'm really thinking Through the Fire and Flames should be one of the last, and not because of Herman Li, I want to see everyone trying to hit ZP Theart's notes, hilarny, even better Cornell's or Corey Taylor's vox, if we wanna talk mean baseline listen to Mastodon's Troy Sanders and Arif Mirabdolbahdi from Protest the Hero is a force-to-be-doing-the-reckoning-with, for drums im gonna hafta hit up Brann Dailor from Mastodon with his sweet funk-infused metal drumming, Neil Pert and Jon Bonham ofcourse, gods in their own rights, the lad from Kataklysm is a ****** for sure listen to Blood on the Swans, and last and certainly not least, one more Slipknot keeper, Joey Jordison

Hi all,

I'm new to the site but a big fan of the GH games and I'm eagerly looking forward to Rock Band!

I voted other, with my personal choice being "To Live is to Die" from Metallica's And Justice for All. I feel it is a very round theme, including powerful bass, guitar solos, acoustic and very, very difficult to follow drums. And above all that, It is a very well built metal song, slowly pacing up and with great epic moments.

My two cents.

I'm not a big fan of Metallica. They seem so generic to me. But some of their earlier stuff was pretty great. I don't play guitar, but I voted for Master of Puppets just because that riff at the beginning seems like it would be pretty crazy to play. As for your list, there is a lot that I like but just as much that I hate, but hey its like that for just about every set list I see

I think that Master of Puppets should just be put in the game as the entire album for an unlockable. Battery, Master, Orion, Disposable Heroes, Damage INC, these songs are all deadly. Better yet, maybe they should just make, ROCKBAND: Metallica and then cram anything they can possibly fit onto a blu ray. Would be sick to be able to play all the Garage Days songs.

It's long as hell, 8:36...

It's a kickass song.

The best Metallica song out there.
