First off, apologies first. My other threads are dead, right down on the next page, but this has been adjusted to the EXACT two guitars I can pick from.
So, here we go AGAIN! I have two choices now - the Epiphone G-310/Special (very similar guitars, similar prices, I won't count them as seperate, the first two are these: http://www.guitar.co.uk/epiphone/tags/Epiphone+SG)
Now, I know you all love the Les Paul, both the SG and LP seem to suit my musical style (although the Strat would be best because my musical choice is vague, thats not a guitar for me atm as a noob with little money, but a Squier... nonono). Now this is a pack including the LP Special II, I think the most basic: http://www.guitar.co.uk/packages/beginner_electric/1253-epiphone_les_paul_special_ii_and_marshall_mg10cd_e lectric_guitar_package forget the amp or w.e. with it, its just the question below I need.
Now I know w.e. happens they're gonna be similar sound wise for a n00b like me. But, for my playing style and me being a NOOB learning, what would I be best with (remember that this LP is a lot lighter)

I would say, on any started guitar, just go for one you think looks nice, and isnt a no-name brand.

Well i'm either getting Epiphone SG or Les Paul. Les Paul's cheaper, supposed to sound nicer, SG is apparently easier to play due to thin neck, but i sorta got long arms (for my age) and big hands so dunno sliding towards LP atm...
But just two great guitars. Ones thinner, ones thicker ya know for me thats the difference and whichever is best to learn on is what I wanna know if you can.

I have wanted that, its just the thickness I was worried about for learning, but its lighter than normal LP so now all I need is £60 more then I can order it yay :D

LP man, all the way, atleast I'd go for it.
I don't think thickness of the neck is a huge deal, it doesn't seem as thick as the Gibson.. to me atleast.

My vote's still with the Les Paul. Versatility is always the hotness.
Which is why I'm going to buy one of these:

hell yes.
but yeah, I'm still saying the LP. I've played both SGs and LPs, and they're both fun and comfortable, but the nod overall goes to the LP.
