Actually, I beg to differ. I would LOVE to see some Nickelback in this game. If not in the main set list, then definitely as downloadable content later. They have at least 15 songs I would love to play.

This game is called "Rock Band", and I don't know if you have ever seen Nickelback in concert but they put on a killer rock show, and would be perfect for the "Rockstar" feeling this game is trying to portray.

I would love to see the song "Rockstar" on the main set list (it's the first song I requested), but if not... I sure hope we get a huge Nickelback DLC pack. Rock on!

I think Nickleback would be a perfect addition to rockband, but that is not a very good song that would work. However, I feel that a better song that more people would agree on atleast would be Follow You Home.

I love comments like this. Doesn't have anything to do with the thread, but I give you credit for trying. Not that it matters, but I like the Legolas character from the books not Orlando Bloom. But I'm glad you know me so well.

As far as Nickelback's musical talent, it's all a matter of opinion just like everything else in life... especially music. If you don't like them, that's fine. But others do. That's why as long as they end up with something in the game (whether main disc or downloadable) we will both be happy. You can choose not to play/buy it, and I'll choose to play/buy it. No harm done either way.

I respect that, I do, but I want to add something. You can be objective about music. I dont pretend to know music theory, but when you listen to a lot of music, you start finding patterns you like. So when you listen to formulaic, trend music like Nickleback, one tends to shy away.

I mean come on, listening to albums of bands like Fuel and Nickleback is EASY. Listen to the first ten seconds of the intro, fast forward. Listen to the verse, the chorus, and fast forward. Listen to the crappy "solo", and skip track. Its not like what you fast forwarded is different from the minute of song you did listen to.

And sometimes, its so much about that. Its that the verses of the songs are relatively similar. I mean, repetition is a norm in popular music, but come on, be creative with it at least.

Anyway they put MCR's song Dead! in GH2 360 version, and I would have never thought anyone wanted them in. So there is still a small chance that a crappy band (IMO) can make it into Rock Band

Yea I saw that too... when they were like that was Nickelback playing ZZTop I was like wtf I didnt know Nickelback could play anything bearable to listen to. It was actually a kickass cover, but too bad the music they write sucks ass...

If they somehow put Nickelback in the game I would definately want them as a bonus track or something that you dont have to play to beat the game.

Yeah, some ****ty bands do things like that. I saw Relient K do an awesome cover of Tears For Fears's "Head Over Heels" and it was the only reason I bothered to stay and watch them.

when i first heard the song rock band, i was with my friends driving somewhere and we were laughing our asses off because we thought it was some band making fun of Nickleback. Then we started laughing even harder at how terrible it was once we realized it really was Nickleback. One track DLC wouldn't be that bad, but nothing more than that why waste time on crappy music that no one will buy. Besides every song would have the same guitar chart and bass chart . . . and song pitch chart and the same drum chart, hahahahaha. Seriously though, all their songs sound the same and he never sings differently, the exact same every damn song.
