Nice vids, can't listen to them rigth now, but they look pretty cool...
BTW, I noticed that in the HUD the notes coming down are rectangular! have they always been like that?...where they not round before?

The notes look a lot bigger and colorful. Also the whammy notes look interesting.

Yeah, I think the notes looked better before. They look too fat now... well, doesn't make the game worse, right? :p

Yeah that second vid looks awesome
someone might actually think it was a real concert if they weren't all standing still focusing on a screen

I like the new look of the HUD better than the old one.

I wonder where these take place. The pixies song is going to be awesome!

I think I like the new look. I haven't played the games, but I've been itching to try them. Rock Band seems to be the only game making progress as far as the actual game goes....even though I like some of the heavier songs in GH3. I really want to try the drums in Rock Band, though, that's why I'm stoked about it.
Looking good, though.

yeah, the notes are definitely more pudgy. they look more "raised" off the fretboard and a bit thicker in general. i think i like it a lil better, but it doesn't seem to make that big of a difference really. as long as they stick with the smaller HOPO notes, i'm down.

I've got a feeling that's because it's just two player. They might have to smush them up to fit all three bars on the screen. Just a thought.

The new HUD looks great! :D
When I played it at PAX it was hard to tell which fret you had held down by looking on screen because the place where the notes are obliterated (lol, I don't know any other way to describe it) was too thin, and it was hard to tell which fret was lit up. Now with it being wider, it's much easier to tell. The actual notes being larger is a side effect of increasing the size of the "note-hitters."
Man, I love the whammy effect! Like a double helix.

I love the way the note contorts when you whammy. But won't making the notes thin and rectangular make it harder to get the timing exact?

Believe it or not, the notes were smaller than what you see there. And the timing window was smaller.

I sound AWESOME in that video. That was souncheck and we were adjusting levels and trying to sing minus guiding vocals was something to behold as you can see. HA!
Anybody know at what time the Rock Band segment shows up in the Gamespot video? It is like two hours long!
