Is it possible to do a world tour with just a single instrument and not be in a complete band? I'm sorry if this has been asked, but I searched and couldn't find an answer.

There is a single player career mode, but it is separate from World Tour.

What is the name of the Single player career mode?
There's Band World Tour, why not just World tour? I'm lost.

Band World Tour Mode is the equivalent to single player career mode. Off the top of my head I cannot remember what the single player mode is called or if we even know what the single player is called.

I am completely ****ing sick and tired of this excuse. Too many people have been using this excuse when they obviously didn't do a search at all.

You're right, thats what it is called, single player career is called Solo Tour Mode, four player career is Band World Tour Mode.

Two to four players is the Band World Tour, not just a full 4 person band.

Are you sure about that? I was under the impression that Band World Tour Mode required a full band. I guess I could be wrong, but it makes more sense to me, that you would have to form a band and go on tour with four people, either all on one system or over the internet.

This is Kaboobi posting, so it's just about as reliable as a Harmonix employee responding. I was under the assumption a while ago that there was Co-op Mode (2-4 players) and a Band World Tour (all 4 players for a band), but this isn't true. There's just the Band World Tour for all numbers of co-op.

What I'm not sure about is whether you can start a Band World Tour with a certain number of players and then continue it with a different number of players. Does it have to be the same number of players throughout the whole BWT campaign?

Um I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Considering that they can be played with any combination of players online and off, I would hope that you can swap people in and out, but that's a good question.

yeah i was wondering about that too, i am playing GH III with my best friend and then we are going to start a band with his cousin who is gonna play drums my friend is playing guitar and i am playing bass, we are not having a singer, singing doesnt interest any of us at all, most of the videos i have seen the singers are horrible so i hope you can play World tour with 2 or 3 people

That's a good thing. I'm pretty sure the chain of reliable information about Rock Band goes something like...

Harmonix/EA/MTV -> Kaboobi, cinder, and playtesters -> everyone else

Why is that necessary? That is exactly why I was asking the question to begin with. I want to be able to play in the world tour mode w/o having to join a band with others who have nothing better to do than harshly reply to a legitimate question. It is the rogue element of Jack A** people out there that could possibly ruin this game. I am not looking forward to the online experience in finding 3 strangers to decide what instrument, song or venue to play. No one will be able to agree on anything, want to star in their own little movie. Honestly, I've seen my share of youtube videos showing people playing guitar hero showing off their so-called skills.......Why? Stick a real guitar in their hands and show me something. Do people really need an ego boost from a disembodied post on a website? There is a lot of that going on here too. The whole idea of a message board is chicken S anyway. You can say whatever you want to whoever you want and it's all anonymous with little to no chance of backlash. I'll freely admit it's hypocritical of me to write this in response to you. I'm not hoping for others to read and pile on. Just on a soapbox like many others in this forum. Long Live RB

He's just saying that it seems like you may not have searched before posting.

Single player is just like Band world tour, except just the one person making all the decisions.

Band World tour is 2-4 people, online or off

Thats at least the impression I was getting.

A good question is whether you can swap members in and out during Band World Tour. That would be nice.

yeah the Rock Band solo career is played just like Guitar Hero career modes, playing through set lists to advance through the game. Band World Tour is 2+ players playing as a band playing through cities and making their own set lists and ultimatly going from garage band to super group. Quick play offers co-op and multiplayer offers battle modes.
