Dead End !!!!!

We'll I'm no Perfect guitar player, and it's showing.. I'm on Expert and Highway Star has got me, Not mention GG&HT which i get about 80% in and Fail...

I don't see any hope for me beating these 2 songs...

What songs gave you ppl the most trouble on expert??? And any tips for these 2 songs? maybe highway star insn't that hard to some, but that solo kills me. :(

man i hear ya, highway star was a *****! I know exactly where your talking about too, it's like the end of that solo. Once it gets to the tough part you have to be able to tough it out thru that then when it goes insane use your power. Thats what i did. TOOK ME FOREVER

Tried GG&HT a few times but meh, i moved on to drums before i got good enough to beat it!

I just today finally beat hard mode, so I'll be starting to work on expert mode now. I had already completed the first 8 or 9 songs on expert before I got stuck, but I forget what song it was.

I can say this though, there have been several songs that I got stuck on as I worked my way up where I played it a few times and thought to myself. "My god, I'll never do that" What's weird is that I'll try try try and fail, then I'll take a day or two break from the game and when I come back boom I do it on the first or second try. That's happened a few times to me, it's like you reach a certain point and to progress you almost HAVE to take a bit of a break from the game. (At least in my case) Very strange, like your skill continues to increase while you're not playing. :)

I'm just so happy that I can do some expert songs. I remember not too long ago thinking I'll NEVER be able to play a hard mode song, let alone beat all of them and move on to expert, hehe.

Yeah 80% in on both songs is killing me :( Then End of highway star solo is a bugger, even with full star power i still lose LOL.... Guess i'll move on to drums too then lol

True , i've done that a few times in the Hard mode... But now it don't matter how many times i leave the game or for how long, i can't see me beating GG&HT .. And that's if i make it threw highway star :(

Well, I'll be in your boat soon I hope, you're ahead of me at this point. :) I just got finished trying to squeek my way by in hard, so I think before I try to move on in expert I'm going to try and get a good score in a couple of the easier ones. Probably going to pick one and spend a few days on that alone and see how I do.

I too am stuck at 80% on GG&HT guitar expert . I have moved on to drums, but will keep practicing GG&HT on guitar until I get it. Once it is completed, I will NEVER play it again voluntarily.

i Didn't have much problem with that, the solo was a lil tricky.. GG&HT is a curse thou. Ive giving up and now playing my DLC"s on Expert, as most i beat only in hard mode.

Ride The lightning, but i haven't tried it in a while.

On highway star, to overdrive your way through the solo, practice hitting the GRYGRYGRYGRYGRYGRYGRY -> GYBGYBGYBGYBGYBGYBGYBGYBGYB with the solo buttons, so when you get to that part of the song, make it to the end of the second set of fast scales before you overdrive.

I'm stuck at about 98% on GGaHT, I failed with gold stars again tonight.

I actually have about 14 songs that I can't beat on Expert. Well, a few of them are unavailable to me as they're in the Rio set.

I've beaten the Aerosmith song in the last tier, but the other four are still there taunting me. :( I make it to about 75-80% on all of them, but then I fail. The problem is that I HATE Run to the Hills, Highway Star, and Flirting With Disaster. I hate playing through about three minutes of boring verses to fail and have to replay the part that I can do in my sleep just to get to the solos that completely kill me.

Then again, in my DLC stuff I have the Metallica pack which give me troubles in even reaching the solos. I don't think I'll ever get past the plateau I'm at right now... especially not enough to beat the Metallica pack on Expert.

Yeah, Playing Highway Star to lose at 80% everytime kinda sucks lol.. I can breeze threw the parts until the solo, and just about have 5 stars every time, then i loose all control on the solo LOL.

Metallica on Expert, i'm not even gonna go there besides the Enter Sandman lol I'll keep them for the hard mode, they give me enough trouble there :P
