Myself is an asian who love rock music and rock band. Me and many friends of mine (who are also asian) are owner of rockband set. I've noticed, many of the asian players in rockband is dying to have famous asian rock band in the game. There are many famous rockband in asia in last few decades that really brought rock music into the continents. Not being stereotype, but which is totally true, ASIAN LOVE SINGING! If rockband could have some famous asian rockband like Beyond, X-Japan, and so on. I bet anyone anything that Rockband will breaks into asian market.
p.s. But my biggest wish right now is not having asian rock. Please Please Please Please Please, get Beatles into rockband!

X Japan is alright. Might as well mention other Japanese Power Metal outfits like Galneryus, Double Dealer, and Concerto Moon.
Dont think its coming though. I am Korean but Id rather have more western metal because its less about fashion and more about music.

yeah, i doubt this would happen also. However, I just wanted to vent it out.
A question just wanted to know, is there any other korean friend of yours that does not own rockband right now, but will for sure buy one if theres korean rock?

Well, obviously countries in Asia have their own musical worlds - it's not like they only listen to stuff from Europe and America ;)

If we have "Asian" rock, then we have to have Icelandic rock and Mexican rock & Polynesian rock & german rock & Ukranian rock & Iranian rock....
:D
Yeah, you know who you are and where this is coming from.....
(For the slower readers out there, this message is a tagerted sarcastic remark) and not to be taken seriously...)

It depends on the market demand. However, I do hope theres different language of songs in rockband. Language is not what's it matter. Music is to bring people together, create harmony. Not racial stuff like ENGLISH ONLY, right? haha

They should put the pillows in the game.
And probably the best Japanese band I've ever heard:
Asian Kung-Fu Generation

I will reiterate my desire to play some Dragon Ash songs in Rock Band, even though I know it's a fruitless endeavor.

As long as the lyrics are translated into english I have no issue with it. The problem comes when it takes up a DLC spot and it's in a language that most Americans would not be able to speak let alone sing. I'm sure there are some asian rock bands out there that have translated music for American release, though.
I have no idea if they have English lyrics, but Balzac rocks. I can never understand what the Hell the lead singer is saying, but it could be just because of the way he's singing, lol.
Also, I can see them putting in asian bands as freebies in an asian release?

I'd like Redemption by Gackt

If we're getting any non-english music I'd want the lyrics to remain in it's original language.

Good luck singing something in a language you don't even understand :-o I suppose it can be done in time and with practice, but bah. I wouldn't pay for it.

I'd do better with Rammstein (song I know despite being in a different language, yea I know this is for Asian but just using this for an example) than I did with Fallout Boy (song I don't know so might as be in a different language). :p

That seems strange, you'd think that would be a market they'd really want to tap into.

I could've sworn I read somewhere that they were. But that's besides the point.
There's always songs like Kurenai and I.V from X Japan both of which have English lyrics.
