I got the impression that the wired was for the bundle to keep the cost of the bundle reasonable.

Why would you say that??? What do PS3 owners have to gain or loose if the Xbox 360 bundle includes a hub or not? If anybody has been *****ing about a hub, that would be the 360 fanboys!!
