To be fair, I've been enamored with Harmonix since I first played Frequency, (I wasn't big on Karaoke Revolution though) and I have to wonder if Harmonix have been getting this whiny hate since the beginning, or at least since GHII on the Xbox360 since that's when DLC started.

I can't remember how many posts I read in the "Still Alive" discussion thread that went something like, "EPIC FAIL! You should have added content from (indecipherable acronym here), they are so awesome. I hate this song and will not download it in protest!" Maybe that's common to any DLC announcement. I don't know, and I don't really care to look back and find out.

I guess it comes with the business of game development (or any kind of entertainment), especially music games since they are based on something so ubiquitous. And since people are less apt to say anything when they're content you'll probably always get more hate than love.

What I'm trying to say is, the evolution of Harmonix games has been nothing short of amazing to me. All your games have met their goal of getting me more interested in music. I don't know where you can take it from here, but I'm sure I'll want it. Especially if it's a sequel to Amplitude. ;)

Look at me still talking when there's rocking to do, when I look out there it makes me glad I'm not you. So the coding gets done and you make a neat song for the people they don't have to buy.

I absolutely agree. I am honestly shocked that anyone is reacting negatively to free DLC! Especially a cool song that is in a sense video game music itself. I love the idea and can't wait to download it. Thanks Harmonix for being such a customer driven, inventive company that actually has a finger on the pulse of cool.
