View Full Version : Replaced the Rock Band Wireless Guitar - now having slight "Overdrive" issues.

I replaced my original Rock Band Wireless Guitar due to a defect in the strum bar which caused the plastic/metal pieces inside the guitar to stop working only after a few months of intermittent playing.
The replacement guitar took three weeks to arrive (from the day I ordered the empty box from EA to the day I received my new guitar - I didn't go through the credit card option which supposedly would've taken less time).
Anyway... so far the replacement guitar works fine. However, in order to go into "overdrive", you have to hold the neck up to a 105-110 degree angle (or you could also say "two-o-clock". Opposed to the original guitar which only took roughly an 80 degree angle to activate "overdrive".
Granted holding the guitar at a "two-o-clock" position makes it a little difficult to continue playing the notes, but if that's the worse that happens, I can live with it.

There's really not a lot you can do about it without voiding your warranty.
Perhaps anither replacement is needed. My guitar was just as bad... I know the pain! :(

Ditto. I sent #2 back as well (or will when the rplacement arrives)...

They still haven't fixed the inherent flaw with overdrive though the guitar has gone up to 5 generations now. The only true option is to fix it yourself, its really easy and its really cheap. Here is the link with pics:
