Poison is another pinnacle 80's band. IMO, there was no greater hair band than Poison in the 80's. I could list a bunch of songs that WOULD work for RB, but it would just be faster to list the ones that WOULDN'T work.

It sure seems like they are avoiding any 80s hair bands. The only song close is "Wanted Dead or Alive" and I would not consider that a hair song.

I think Hair Bands might be an expansion of some sort!

Yea even Id admit that i would love some Poison... But i wouldnt go so far as to say taht the where the best of the hair bands... Maybe Cinderella, or Motley Crue. IMHO i think Poison was one of the reasons that Hair bands fell out of favor. Just POPed it up a little too much.

We really need Poison. There are so many great guitar solos, which will be challenging for the guitarists. The vocals will be a stretch on some songs and drums on some will be challenging. The only downside to Poison is that most of the song for bassists will be one note over and over, seriously Bobby Dall should be better with as long as he has been playing bass. We need Poison and I will pay any price for ONE song.

There was some ace stuff in the early 90s also, like Slaughter, Steelheart (Oh how I would LOVE to play Sticky Side Up by them on drums!), Wildside, Johnny Crash, Junkyard, Tora Tora, Lillian Axe (One of my fave bands, although now without Ron Taylor singing and the only original member being Stevie Blaze... meh), Gynger Lynn, Roxy Blue (Their `Want Some` album is STILL killer to listen too), Sven Gali, Trixter, Danger Danger, SouthGang, Tyketto, etc etc.

What I wouldn't give to bash out some awesome Glam/Hard Rock/Sleaze! :)

I completely agree. Poison had some really great music, and CC was one wicked guitarist with some of the coolest solo's. Would be fun to play them on rock band.

Skid Row and Poison are band that HMX strangely didn't consider yet..wonder why , they have all that a rock band must have. I can understand about Bon Jovi because i think that his label is hard to buy , but for the first two i don't think it so impossible...

Hell Yeah! Poison DLC would be awesome. I loved them as a teen growing up and I still listen to their music from time to time. The energy of their music is pretty much second to none from the 80's hair metal groups. There is a little bit of everything in their music for all of the instruments in the game.

Well ok, Bon Jovi was a pretty high energy band too..... but that's beside the point.

Probably has to do with the fact that we also have a much more popular thread devoted to all the bands of this genre. I can only speak for myself, but when I think to talk about these bands, my first thought is the Hair Band thread, not the individual band threads.

If I was selecting a 12 pack "ride the wind" would have been next on the list. In fact to be honest I would prefer it to the slow ballads in terms of playing in RB. My ten pack was an attempt to please me and the masses.

What really confuses me is that Poison and a bunch of other hair-metal bands were present in GH1, GH2, and GH Rocks the 80's. So Harmonix has worked with hair metal bands before but once Rock Band came out they have completely ignored them. Just seems odd to me.

It's probably because HMX want the franchise to be seen as "cool" and not have bands that many deem as cheesy and uncool. I really dislike music facism.

I would love to see a proper Poison pack released, there are sooo many very good songs that would work well on Rockband. After all they are a classic rock band with 4 members (lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, vocals), so it's not a big stretch to work most of their up beat songs in (didn't include ballads or bluesy stuff as a lot of that has a vocal basis - thinking poor boy blues or every rose).

A great DLC would include:
