No Oasis?

I know there is probably another thread deep inside this forum..but I think if I just started a new thread would be better : /

I'm surprised they don't have Oasis in the tracklist! This game is being released in US and the UK, and they don't have their biggest rock band of the 90's. Anyone that was into the pop culture back then would know Oasis and Blur were probably the biggest thing in the UK.

Plus, Liam's unique singing and the many guitar riffs in their songs would fit perfect with the game

I'd love to see maybe "Supersonic" or "some might say" on the tracklist.

It's just that I see Nirvana in almost every "music game" (like guitar hero and this), and my viewpoint for the 90's is that Nirvana was the biggest band in the states w/ the grunge movement, and Oasis in the UK with britpop. So where is the second biggest band eh?

I really want Oasis too, hmm... maybe we'll get it in the European version. (But not only the UK okay!?!)

I would love almost every Oasis song I guess, would prefer Gas Panic! the most though! Such a cool song.

noo not just the European version XD, Yeah Morning glory or definetly maybe as downloadable content would rule. But I think Definetly Maybe would be more likely since it is more "grungy" then their other work.
Go let it Out would also be a good song, the bass would rule.
its wierd how Weezer got onto the playlist and not Oasis...Say it ain't so is good, don't get me wrong, but I rather have other songs

I mean, okay, I haven't heard that many Oasis songs, maybe like 6 or 7 at most, but come on, every song sounds the same! IMO, RB doesn't nedd Oasis.

keep it friendly. I don't go dissing your type of music. I agree with you in one aspect that any other britpop band might be stretching the limit, such as Blur or Suede.

Oasis would be a perfect fit in the setlist..pretty much any song except wonderwall or something. Other than the band's consent, I honestly don't see why it wouldn't be on it. THey are probably the biggest british band since the 90's till now..

There was a girl band who covered "Loosing my religion" and released it as a single, and well, there was this interview with REM and the interviewer asked them if the girl group needed their admission. I remember Michael Stipe saying that if they don't change the lyrics and the melody, that NO admission is needed.

But I really don't know how that works with music in a videogame.

Blur is good and all, but I think they delved too much into like experimental music after the "Blur" album. Both bands i think are making new albums too :D its battle of the britpop all over again!

I don't like that song that much, but as for new stuff...importance of being idle and go let it out are the only songs that stand out.

I would'nt call Go Let It Out new, it was on Be Here Now after all. But I really like the Heathen Chemistry album. Be Here Now and Don't Believe the Truth are actually the two albums I like the least. Be here now's only really great song is probably Go Let It Out and DBTT has some very bad songs.

Oh, and Stop Crying Your Heart Out was the song that turned me into a hardcore OASIS FANATIC for probably two years, so yeah, I think it's awesome.

Ah, damn, sorry, I just mistaked it for Don't Go Away! But would not consider SOTSOG that new either. I think it's about 7 years old? Anyway. Go Let It out is nice, but I love the whole SOTSOG album. Like I said, Gas Panic! would be my first choice for Rockband.

anyways, the only problem I see with oasis in the game is that the band has always had two guitarists, 1 lead, 1 rhythm. This can easily be fixed.., but their songs would be dramatically different if they cut it to only one guitar.
So far, these are the songs I think would work in the game.

I'll agree the extent that some of their songs sometimes are acoustic, or can be soothing, but a lot of their other stuff has booming bass and guitar riffs. Probably a million other people would disagree with you, but it's your opinion. Plus, it's not like metal or electronic, or has the hip-hop energy if that's your taste.

suck and boring are two different things. boring applies to JUST personal taste, while suckage may actually apply to a band actually being ****ty and the person who said suck as just one who lacks in vocabulary.

when i say a band is boring i mean it does absolutely nothing for me. i see talent in the band i guess, they can write some good brit pop or whatever its called but when i'm sitting here listening to half of the album and not even noticing it go by there's a problem

I like all kinds of music, so classifying me as a metal head or an industrial geek doesnt do much. I listen to everything (yes I even like some Polka). I dont discriminate based on country or style of music).. but Oasis just puts me to sleep listening to it. Maybe its just the songs I've heard, I dont know, but I just dont like their style of music. Same thing with Tool and Nirvana. I absolutely hate tool and nirvana, but that's the first time i've said that on this forums, because far and wide, I've noticed people arent allowed to have their own musical tastes here.

first of all, why does it matter about the band members? it's not like it affects the game.
and I would think after Kurt died, grunge started to end, so I'd say those bands are post-grunge.
I'm sorry, I just find you saying green day is better than oasis crazy. I mean some of their older material was pretty good for american punk rock, but after their "so controversial" album against america, and their gothy makeover just makes me want to puke.
