At least the people who did not get the oxm now get a chance to get the songs, and even play station owners do (even though they cant get it for a week or so). sure its not an album or some super cool dlc (cause we all know march had none of that). But this only means next weeks dlc will be an album or some of that leaked list from oxm dlc(witch last i looked had lynard skynard metallica iron maiden black sabbath), or some thing completely random (like Boston). So cheer up rockers and move on to next week.:)

Why should some have to be cast aside because others did not have the means or will to obtain the previously released dlc......at the very least they can allow the songs to be in and thats all fine and good, but they shouldn't try to treat it as this new dlc we are being blessed with. This wasnt an announcement this week, it was an excuse. I have no problem with it, but just be honest and tell us the "river runs dry" and they didnt want to add content knowing playstation three was down. I wasnt a huge fan of last weeks DLC (mostly becaus a small part of the chorus gives me nightmares about its a small world.....) but at least the lone track that we did have was something new

To me it looks like they are doing just what HMXSEAN said last week. They're giving the peeps who crank out the DLC some much needed rest. Plus it coincides with the PS3 store being offline. They weren't about to release anything special knowing that part of their audience would be cut off.
I'm glad they released the OXM songs for download. Not that I am going to buy any of them, but over the past couple of months I have seen plenty of posts from people requesting the OXM disc as they were unable to acquire it. Now those people have easy access to the songs and the artists get some coin out of the deal as well. So I'm with the OP on this one.
I think that for the next week we may get something special since there will have been two essentially "off weeks" for the DLC gang. Maybe it will be "Who's Next" so that will finally be out of the way and we won't have to hear the whining about HMX not living up their promise of full album downloads. That would be nice.
After finding out what next week's songs are today, I decided to get off the fence and download the Boston pack. It was (and is) a great time and $10 well spent I must say.
I look at the weeks with DLC I don't care for as opportunities to go back and pick up previous DLC that I may have missed out on or passed over originally. So I guess you could say that I am never disappointed that way. Works out kind of nicely. :)
