anyone feel that white stripes should get thier own dlc pack?
Icky Thump is a great album and title track, amazing guitar, amazing drums, amazing vocals, bass not to sure about.
The band has a perfect set up for rock band, this would be a drummers dream, and jacks vocals and guitar are insane.

I could be wrong but isn't there no bassist in the white stripes?

Do drummers really like playing off beat and sloppy?

Just kidding. I just really don't like meg white.

the White Stripes would probably be a second- or third-tier group at best.

hmx can elaborate the bass part just like they do for all bass parts on all the songs....how many bass guitars do you know of have 5 strings???? there are some but most band play with a 4 string bass......so where do you think hmx get the orange fret...they make it up

Why not go With a couple Raconteurs tracks instead? Then you get the awesomeness of Jack White with full band, plus you've got two vocalists to mix things up. I vote for Level, Consolers of the Lonely and Salute your Solution as a 3-pack.

Seconded. Also, plenty of people use 5 and 6 string basses.

Guitar and vocals would be amazing. Aside from Bone Broke, I'm afraid the drums would be a bit boring.(and they're my favorite band)

A bass part could be created like it was in Maps. I'm pretty sure the Yeah Yeah Yeahs don't have a bassist either.

edit: I also also vote for the Raconteurs, Consolers of the Lonely is epic.

Although I don't think tahat they should get a pack because i think we need more variety packs. I do think they should add a song by them. And to everyone saying that they can't because it's only a 3 instrum band look at Serg. He is one guy, but they choose him over System of a Down??? I don't get it

you do realize that the buttons represent frets and not strings, right?

I was curious about this so I looked it up. Although I couldn't tell if they had a bassist or not, you can get bass tabs for their songs, so there must be someone who plays bass?

Nevermind, you were right. They don't have a bass player, they just do tricks to make it sound like they have a bass player from what I read. So there is at least the sound of a bass player there, I guess.

Ever since i got hte game ive been hoping for some stripes. Icky thump would be the last album id choose though. as far as the no bass thing goes it wouldnt be hard to take part of the guitar parts and make them bass parts in alot of their songs. And p.s. Meg White is not sloppy and off beat.

orange=/=string

orange=low hand placement

you basically answered your own question by saying orange fret

What are you talking about? Those buttons on the controller do not represent strings. They represent frets. We have a one string guitar/bass with 5 frets. Think about it...your doing hammer ons by not hitting the strummer, just like if you were moving fingers from fret to fret on a real guitar.

Also, while i wouldnt mind havent the white stripes, what the previous poster said is correct. All their songs either have just bass or just guitar, theres no "elaborating" a bassline thats not there.

They have a couple of decent songs, but for the most part I find the music to be thin and their songs more a collection of great riffs than actual great songs.

meg is pretty damn hot.. back on topic though, a full album download wouldn't be necessary at all.. i'd definitely like to see "icky thump" and "little cream soda" though for DLC

it would be great
but only in some songs does jack white play both guitar and bass (by having bass on his back, and guitar in front, then just flipping when he needs to and letting bass notes ring for cool effect, he doest the same with keyboard)

The Raconteurs simply don't compare to Jack's work in The White Stripes.

3-Pack:

Little Cream Soda (http://youtube.com/watch?v=moSYKuZ7mxY)
Death Letter (http://youtube.com/watch?v=1fM2qhG8mA4)
Seven Nation Army (http://youtube.com/watch?v=psbs_8kkWqg)

They could make up bass parts, or even just mirror the guitar parts. I don't really care, but I'd love to play Jack's guitar parts any way I can.

As a huge fan, I would think that a single guitar hero game would be perfect for the stripes. 5 albums plus various b-sides(jack the ripper comes to mind), and add some recantours, and you have a game that would be much more enjoyable than an Aerosmith game will.

I want the White Stripes in Rock Band sooo bad. But personally Icky Thump isn't my album of choice. I am a big fan of Get Behind me Satan, or Elephant (can anyone say Ball and Biscuit??) They have such a HUGE library of songs to choose from, the problem may be only picking three songs to put in a pack :p

Everyone says she kills the live sound. Just not a big fan though.

yeah white stripes are sick, but f*ck icky thump, have elephant instead thats wayyyyyyyyyyy better.

but anyway theres only 2 members in white stripes so you could only have songs with backing bass eg seven nation army.

well the buttons are more representative of notes than strings (hence them being on the fretboard) but oh well.

Meg White is great at what kind of music this is, the minimalism harkens back to old folk and blues rock. The singing and the guitar would be especially difficult for some tracks, but you'd have to essentially justify Jack White's low-end boost as basis for a bass player.

If they could convince Jack to record some bass tracks I'd be all for it.
I'd prefer a pack over an album though.

I would love to play stuff off of this album. They should just give a discount for songs that don't have all four parts. I would still buy them, I don't always have 4 people playing.

Although I love the White Stripe and I would buy it, I don't agree that it would be awesome for anyone except the guitarist and maybe White Stripe fans because there is no bassist, the singing is ok, and the drummer can't play. Sorry.

Yeah, I'd be down with some Stripes. I'm partial to the old stuff (give me a Live cover of Death Letter, please!), but their new stuff is good, too.
