drummer, why do i fail but get every key?

I play several songs and what happens is I can never keep my multiplier but i get every key.

I get like 99 or 100% (on easy) yet i will get like 4x multiplier on a easy part then when doing single keys orany other time for that fact, i just random lose it as it gives me a red gauge indicting i failed that note. Any ideas why? on any other instrument i dont get this but on drums i can never keep a multiplier yet I watch and even go on easy slow songs and yet it fails me on the notes b ut i still get every key. what am I doing wrong or what is rockband doing wrong?

Sounds like you don't have the game calibrated properly. You're hitting everything either slightly late or slightly early.

Either that or you're experiencing cross-talk on your drums. Take the game into practice mode, to the Big Rock Ending for Foreplay/Long Time. Wail away on each pad one at a time and see if hits on one pad are triggering hits on another.

Sounds like your drum kit is bunk. I haven't received a drum kit yet that works, and I'm on #3. Are you missing the same color every time (usually the yellow drum is the first to go).
