The Cars:
Just What I Needed
My Best Friend's Girl
Good Times Roll
Shake It Up
Moving In Stereo*
*aka the "Phoebe Cates fantasy scene from Fast Times At Ridgemont High" song
INXS
What You Need
Need You Tonight
Never Tear Us Apart
New Sensation
Devil Inside
Mystify
Pretty Vegas*
*though it seems like sacrilege to include INXS songs without Michael Hutchence

I would love to have both bands in this game, you also have some great choices, but one thing I would definately add is You Might Think by the Cars.

Get the behind me SATAN! How dare you include "Pretty Vegas". That whole show/resulting music SUCKED.
Now that the exorcism is done, how about we replace that song with another one. :) Even though they might have a problem with lyrics, I say "Original Sin" would be a better song.

J.D. Fortune is all right but Michael Hutchence cannot be replaced by anyone. I certainly agree that there are a lot more songs from the Hutchence era that should take priority over anything from the Fortune era. Kick was obviously their best and most successful album but there were a lot of great songs from other records... "Suicide Blonde", "Elegantly Wasted", "Disappear", "Burn For You", "Taste It", "By My Side" all rock in my book!
*** To the OP:
BTW, How can there be a list for The Cars without "Magic"?!
But overall, kudos for mentioning two great bands that don't get enough attention in this forum!
And "Need You Tonight" is definitely one of the few songs that would really make me regret having PS3 because I would have to wait two more days to download it!

The Cars would totally kick ass. I grew up listening to the Cars, since my father was a huge fan, and I've become fairly attached to their music over the years. I'd be all for some Cars in there.
