i just got rockband bundle for ps3 and i unpacked everything and there didnt seem to be a splitter so you could hook up all the instruments at once . is there suppose to be one? if so do you know where it is in the bundle box normally.

Unfortunately, the PS3 bundle doesn't include one... fortunately, any ol' USB hub will work.

Just use a PC usb hub, its way cheaper than the RB hub

Be glad it didnt come with one. The 360 stock hub sucks. They saved you the hassle of throwing that one away, and feeling bad for spending money on something you already have, but threw away. As my mom used to say, "Some african child would want to eat that!"

Since you just purchased the game, you probably don't know that you can't copy your save data. So hopefully nothing happens to your PS3 or you are S.O.L.

If you do get a USB hub you might be best to invest in a powered one. Anyone able to confirm whether non-powered hubs work decently on the PS3 for Rock Band?

Non-powered USB hubs work fine with Rock Band. I bought mine at Target for like $8. I've never had a problem with it. It doesn't help solve the problem of not being able to copy your save data though.

I'm guessing that there are versions of the ps3 out there without 4 usb plug-ins. Is this true? I bought mine when it first came out, and it wasn't the big hard-drive one, but it does have 4 plug-ins. That would suck to have to buy a hub, but I guess there isn't much you can do about it.

Like Mr. Garrison always says, "There's no such thing as stupid questions, just stupid people." (Sorry, I've wanted to use that line forever). But anyway, you don't need a splitter. The PS3 already comes with 4 USB ports, just enough to fit drums, 2 guitars and a mic. Since the control is wireless, hit the PS button, go to Controller settings, change the controller to the USB port the mic is in, and you're ready to go. No splitter needed.

You an all-star idiot. The 40 gig version of the PS3 has only 2 USB ports. That means you need a USB hub to play RB. Like Tflash9 always says, "If you don't know what you're talking about, shut your trap!"
