View Full Version : First Person Perspective?

Even though your main attention would most likely be on following the current on-screen cues, I think it'd be cool if what you see behind all that is from the viewpoint of your musician
So not only would you be able to stare off into the millions of adoring fans and get their reactions as you pull off some awesome sounds and strut about the stage, you could also look over to your left and watch as your drummer goes into a wicked solo and racks up the points, or over to the right as security stops sweaty fans jumping on stage to cop a feel of your lead singer as he kills it on the mic, for instance.
Although a third person perspective would probably still prove popular to those who get seasick easily, or just like to see their character hitting the right notes.. but I figured I'd throw the idea out there anyway.

That seems very cool. Hopefully the next gen systems can produce different fans and not clones.

Maybe you can have the option of either 1st or 3rd.

Would really add to the immersion... being the lead singer and staring off into the crowd throwing up some devil horns or something...

...yeah.

As I suggest in another thread, the 'fans' this time around should be real people! Let players see what "shows" are currently in session, and stop by to watch the gig.

This would enable people to a) get an extra bit of satisfaction when playing well, as everyone in the audience is a real person, and therefore can actually appreciate your play-through, and b) see how awesome the competition is, first-hand. (leaderboards; bah!)

Threadmancy is a big no-no, especially when adding absolutely nothing useful to a thread that's over a year old. So don't.
