MTV’s Rock Band™ 2007 Tour Overview: The Rock Band™ mobile tour is a mobile tour produced by MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International Inc. (“MTVN”) that will travel to various states throughout the country during the period of approximately September 12, 2007 through November 4, 2007 (“Mobile Tour” or “Mobile Tours”). The Mobile Tour will give Rock Band™ fans a chance to get their hands on the new Rock Band™ product and audition for a chance to participate in a Rock Band™ challenge on MTVN’s program TRL with the winning band performing on Rock Band™ as the opening act at the Rock Band™ Launch Concert (“Opening Act Band”), currently contemplated to take place in California on or around November 19, 2007.

Sounds like the MVT try-outs last to November 4th. Everything after is just purely promotional for RB.

To promote the game. Obviously not everyone is going to pick it up on the release date, and they still have to spread the game.

I live in Iowa and the closest would be Chicago for me (roughly 3hrs) and my mom said she'd take me...except that she has to do something every single day here that they're in Chicago. Psh. She was like "Yeah, that's cool! Let me check my schedule..oh wait...." I died inside.

Yes, it is bad that the game is releasing later than we want it to :(
But look on the bright side, this way anyone who needs money will have more time to get it.
