Community Upgrade Soon?

Did anyone else get a bunch of messages called "test" from a QA_India? Go to the profile and the color matches the new site and the comments say "test" as well.

Now my messages weren't readable and this morning I did get an error message when I tried to access the site.

I think we can expect some kind of forum update to go along with the sites update. It makes sense to me. When I try to go to QA_India's profile there is none and it just takes me out to rockband.com

Sweet. The Community is getting upgraded. No doubt although you would've thought Sean (or someone since he was in Vegas) would warn us of any down time.

I'm pretty sure that any community upgrade could be performed with minimal downtime. within the 30 min mark. The vBulletin forum might not even have to be moved. reskinning it is simple as flipping a switch basically, once it's designed, but who knows what else is going on here lol.

anyone know what they're using for the profiles? i don't know if it's part of vBulletin, it's got a separate login, so i'm not sure if it's homebrewed, or available as a plugin/extension. just curious.

I was talking to Sean once about the crappy blog editor and he said it wasn't their code but to get another blogging editor meant basically getting a new site.

So it's probably an extension.

Just hope none of the existing post go defective. When GameSpot went from Lithium to homebrew whatever post still existed were glitched and pretty much clusterfûcked.

Side graphics have just changed along with the graphic at the top of the page. Those are changes since this morning.

Curious to see what Sean will have to say in his blog today about all the changes.
(Actually more curious to see his response to the WoW crapfest)

And yea the skins on the side are definetly different, as is the forum address. I had to re-bookmark it.

Nice they updated the banner at the top as well as the sides to mimic that of the main site, its only a matter of time before the rest of the forum changes too I think.

I'm pretty sure sean will be around whenever he can, I don't think cinder will be around full time until the game is released. The forums seem to be in fine shape to me.
