I'm starting a new project. I'm pretty proficient in web design and digital art so it shouldn't be much of a challenge getting it up, but I need some help...

First of all I want to start a website that will of course contain everything there is to know about Rock Band (including a rumor area... because everyone loves rumors), and I want to have a ladder and challenge system for Rock Band competitions (and eventually have big competitions for prizes!). I have some other ideas to, but thats the main thing.

What I'm looking for is some people to help out in both the development of this, and after it's done, help get it going (so pretty much a team).

If your interested and think you can help and could be on the staff, please reply here and add me to MSN: dark3630@gmail.com

I'm looking forward to getting this project going ;)

EDIT- Ok, here's what I'm looking for:

Moderators (there will be a forum)
News people (people that can make the Rock Band news interesting and catch it as soon as it comes out)
Web Coders (people that can work with the code of websites pretty well [php, html, css, etc])
Designers (I can cover most of this but help is very much welcome. People to work on art.).

If you think you can add something else to this then please by all means contact me. I've got some big plans for this... and the first prize for out first contest will be (most likely)

1st) Wireless strat for whatever system the winner is playing on
2nd) Probably a CD

Yea, I know about that... but...

1) Competition never hurt anyone

2) I don't really see some of my ideas on that site

I'm serious about this, and if no one wants to help then I'll go at it alone. I don't see why that site has to be the ONLY one that can be about Rock Band..

It's been my plan all along to do those things (ladder, etc), I've just been waiting for a little more forum traffic to show people are interested. I have a bunch of different projects I'm working on, rockbandfan is just one of them.

If you've got the free time, I say go for it and make your own site. Building websites has been interesting, educational, and fulfilling. I would recommend it to anyone with the skills.

In the meantime, I'd appreciate some more activity in my forum if anyone doesn't want to chat here. :)

i never really understood why you guys think you need a separate forum unless youre going to discuss things that wont be tolerated here. this site is great, and you know they will have major intergration involved between the game and the site.

I would encourage open discussions of things that they may not tolerate here, although I would *not* encourage piracy. Harmonix, on the other hand, will very likely not leave posts about their file formats and such up on their site.

That's just one reason for a third-party forum such as mine. I would allow reasonable amounts of profanity as well. Rock music includes it, and it has primal meaning. (Profanity is not necessarily the lowest form of communication; I'd have to say talk shows, soap operas, and so-called "reality tv" would fit that description.)

I will moderate the forums to consolidate duplicate topics, delete nonsense topics, etc.

Yea, I sent him a message and we're going to talk about it next time he's online.

Somewhere on the forum, people are going to make an ultimate Wiki. Like, a whole Wiki site, not just a page. We delayed the project until they released more info. But we should be going through with it soon.

There will be ladders and competition here.

But hey it isn't bad to have a project to show off afterwards.
