Hey.. My question is pretty easy to answer.. Does the Guitar/drums/mic for PS3 work on Xbox 360 and the other way around?

My "guess" is that the wired version would work on either, however I can pretty much guarantee that a wireless version would be specific to its platform.

I'm going to say no. Does an 360 controller work on a PS3 or vice versa. No. The coding is probably different.

I just read an interview from the makers, an they said that their plan was to make them work on boths. Thats why i'm asking this question:)

If you're talking about the Alex Rigopulos interview, I believe he was referring to making the RB Strat work with GH3, on the same platform, not across platforms.

This would be ideal for me. ;)
I intend to pick up the full kit + second guitar for the 360 anyway, but the only friend (locally, anyway) that will be picking up the game before next spring has a PS3.
It'd be nice to have the (wired) instruments be multiplatform so we can have drum duels without having to blow *another* wad of cash, especially since I'm sure I'll have to pay some inane 20-50% markup over the US prices since companies are still operating on the USD-CAD exchange rate from a few years ago. Of course, I'm close enough to the border that I can just zip across. ;)

No.
That was the plan but Sony uses Bluetooth and MS uses their own, very strict, hardware/software. Wired may work though.
Besides I don't even think the guide answers this question. Otherwise I would've posted my patented Dirty n00b pic I conviently stole from a Phoenix Wright forum. :D

Thanks! Then I hope the wired version will work:)

I think I've seen some DDR pads with multiple plug ends in the past, that accomodated at least PS2 and Xbox plugs. So it's a possibility, however I wouldn't be surprised if everything was console-specific. As the drums probably will be, since all the pictures we've seen so far seem to have an Xbox360 type controller built into it. And yes, like they said wireless guitars will be, as ps3 will be bluetooth.

I'm assuming wired will NOT be cross compatible for three reasons:
1) MS and Sony don't like to play nice.
2) They would probably require different driver that would require firmware updates (see number 1)
3) MS want controllers to have the home button (or whatever they call it) so you can look at stuff on the dashboard. Sony may have some unique thing on their controllers as well.

Exactly. The ONLY thing they mentioned was having it possibly compatible with Guitar Hero, which would be nice since the Strat is a lot better than the GH3 guitar.
